Damn me for being stuck in the middle of this state! Seems like all the NC people on here are either around raleigh, charlotte, or fayettenam. I know there is a red ss/sc in kernersville with a cobaltss.net decal on his windshield, but no clue who it is.
It's the same way for Subaru's too. Everyone on the coast either don't frequent the forums or are too lazy to meet.
Raleigh is close enough, I'm up in the triangle when I can get a weekend to do so.
Hey, StinkBOMB, New Bern Dragway is open Saturday March 24th, 12 to 5. http://www.newbernmotorsports.com/ I'm definatly going to be there. Couldnt make it down to J-ville this past weekend cause of what I told you before.
Also on Forza; Its structured like SCCA Racing, you startoff with $xx,xxx and start in the lowest class. As you add Mods, it bumps your class up. So if you dont do things like add Horespower or add, super sticky tires you stay in the same class. Simmmilar to Gran Turismo, not at all like NFS. NFS is pretty much run what your brung if you can afford it. Forza is designed to be Uber Simulation. There is only one Company I think took simulatuion too far.
Codemasters, TOCA Racing, right down to the point of being able to start shut off,the car, to use a clutch button, very realistic damage, like wheels falling off, tires exploding, total engine failure. But the menu structure and how it progressed was poorly exicuted, they tried to make a story line, and make it follow a racing season. Instad of like Forza and Gran Turismo where you can pick and choose where and when you want to run.

I love the Codemaster games like pro race driver and TOCA series. Great sims there but you can also make it not so bad. Only thing I mess in the last couple of TOCA games is the ability to set up your own race and what cars are in it. Been sweet to take the F1 cars in the last game and mix it up w/ other open wheel racers. One bad thing I hate is paying for the cheat codes but I do it anyway cause it lets me get everything and not have dance around trying to get to the next level and possibly racing a series that is just a pain.
Forza is nothing like NFS, Forza is along the lines of being what Gran Turismo is to the Playstation. I love taking a stock car and doing what you could do to it in real life provided you had the money or credits in the case of Forza. I used to play Forza for hours after beating it, mostly bought car after car and certain makes and tweaked them all to different levels. I believe I got one 20 Mr-2's in various forms from mild to wild along w/ som civics(big '99-'00 model fan).

Absolute best thing in forza is to not say anything in xbox live, go find a room with a bunch of drift kidz in it, make sure they run the downhill, and open a can of 1970 Dodge Challenger, or 69 Camero on them,
HAHAHA,
Holy Hell how do you get that thing to drift like that? Big Tires, Lots of neg camber, and a locked axle.... Mass and momentum are a great thing.

So I'm pretty excited about this track day Saturday. Any Cobalts going? I miss hearing the wine of an S/C so someone for the love of God bring an SS S/C.
Oh yeah, thanks for the info on Forza Blktrax. I think I'll be picking up Forza 2 when it comes out.
