So...right now I am a part of the club SOCALECOTECS. However I will be leaving in May for boot camp and then heading out to Charleston for 2 years for school. So my question is...who all is out there? How many of you guys are there and do you have any clubs or meets?

when do you start basic?

 

May 12th. So 9-10 weeks from them I will be in SC. So prolly around the end of july

 

i shall see you at great lakes then i go may 1st and i as well go to charleston for the same thing

yeah there a 3rd nuke on here but hes on deployment out of groton on a sub right now

what rough seas?...you are basically on a floating city haha. but ive been underway on carriers before and i love it. those are nothing compared to a small boy in 15-20 ft. waves. that was quite the experience let me tell ya.

one guy in chareston got a fast cobalt i live in the middle of SC about 1 1/2 hours out

 

the carrier is a flat bottom boat, just like the LHA and LHD- those boats dont do so well in rough seas, small waves are no prob tho, not like my FFG in 13 foot seas, i was walkin on the walls.

 

haha yeah i hear ya. did a tiger cruise years back in a cruiser...+ 15 foot swells. that was actually fun in my opinion

not bad, i think by the time you outta Nuke school you will be ready for the E-5 exam if they dont just give it to you.

i think nuke school is 1-1/2 to 2 years long tho...
