Have any one changed out their factory speakers yet???

 

yeah me and trey both has swapped out the factory stuff..

 

did you both do it yourself or took it to a audio shop

 

trey is in the middle of a full cuztom setup on his which he is doin his self. i did mine myself to thou. i try to help him out on his when i can too.

 

Ohh ok so what kind of speakers did you put in and how does it sound

 

pioneers 6.5 3 ways up front and pioneer 6x9 4 ways in the back.. they sound alot better than the factory speakers do and we both still have factory head units. i've got a small 4 channel amp im bout to hook to all mine thou to get it a lil louder. even if you dont upgrade the head unit upgradin the factory speakers to some quality aftermarket ones is worth it.

 

I have the clarion max675vd i use to have a solobaric but got rid of it...It was a lil 10" im about to move to a 15" Solobaric but yea if i bought the door and rear speakers would you mind helping me put them in

 

yea man that wouldnt be a problem. we just need to work out a day and time to do it. i would suggest goin with a 12 instead of a 15 though. our cars are so small that a 15 doesnt really have enough air space in the trunk to really move the sound and make it sound good.

 

Ohh ok i thought about 2 12"s but for the price i can get 1 15" and have more room for stuff...So how much did you pay for your rear and door speakers

 

i think the fronts was around 60 and the rear was around 80. they're not top of the line pioneers but its the next level down from it. you could get some good sound from 1 15 it just wouldnt be able to put out its full potential thou.

 

I was thinking about gettin my speakers from ebay but i dont know right now... So did you have to take the rear deck apart to get them in

 

yeah it has to come out to get em in. if you buy from ebay just make sure your gettin em form someone that has a good positive rep on there.

 

Yea i know i have bought alot of **** from ebay....If i knew how to put the speakers in myself i would but i dont

Right now I have 3-way clarion 6.5'' in the front and 5-way pioneer 6x9's in the back. The 6x9's are hooked to a 2/4channel pioneer amp. As soon as I get the pioneer 6.5" i want for the front they'll be going on the amp as well... But yeah we can help you out with the speakers. Like kevin said, get em and figure out when you wanna try to do it and we'll get back with you. How do the clarion 6.5 sound

 

They sound good. I'm actually about to sell them if I can find a buyer. I would be selling the 6x9's too but one blew already... bull ****. They're brand new. And I DID break them in properly. This is why I"m going back to pioneer.

 

So are we gonna try to get that condo or what kevin? Really I'd just be happy with a hotel room because we really won't be spending that much time at the condo anyways. Since the show doesn't start until saturday morning we could just ride down there early ya know? Get a room for saturday cuz I'm sure we'll be out late saturday night... It's up to you bro.

Hell yeah that matches the aeroforce interceptor a lot better than the AEM... We'll go hotel-looking early saturday morning if ya wanna.
