Gets pretty cold in the mornings and night time during winters. Humidity is an ass in the end of spring and summer. A lot of rain during Hurricane season, pretty much every day. Car scene is not bad, some nice cars around.

No snow here so im sure you will be happy about that. Yea, the siesta key beach is like number 2 in the world. I live in Venice which is right next to Sarasota, but im their for pretty much half the day.

Other than the humidity its a nice place to live, crime rate not to big, not as big as bigger cities at least. I don't go to car meets cause well I don't have a nice sports car or anything like that, but I have seen some nice cars around, haven't seen to many SS SC's or SS TC's though.

I don't expect to be used to the eat for at least a year until my thick northern blood thins out but do you ever get used to the humidity. I mean it is humid here for most of the summer so I know what it's like. Anyone got any pics of the area they are willing to post up? Thanks for the replies guys. Looking forward to it. Only one more winter to get through and I don't have to put my car through it anymore.

Well I can tell you for a fact that the humidity down here is worse. I was at the subie dealership today getting my car fixed and met a couple that was from around the Washington D.C. area and they told me it gets humid up their, but nothing as bad as down here. I moved here from Iowa around 5-6 years ago and i'm still not used to it. Some days it just gets so bad for me that I cant stand being outside. I love to detail my car pretty much every 2 weeks to a month and i'm usually drenched in sweat.

During fall and winter its very nice, no humidity, great air. My friend is a photographer and he has a lot of pictures he takes in the Sarasota area. Some are very gorgeous pictures, He has a facebook just for his photography, ill link you if you have facebook?

I moved down here form new york about 14 years ago, and I'm still not used to the heat, and I was like 5 when we moved so you'd think I wouldn't be that used to it, enjoy your 340 days of summers, 15 days of it being less hot, and 10 days of it being bearable

Also check out tamparacing.com Pretty big car site, though its mostly hondas, pretty built onces and **** though, lotsa vendors and events and so on
