Hi i would like to know if there are members of the club down there..
Ill be going on holidays in the end of august with some of my friends
and we are planning to camp at the myrtle beach state park.
Could you guys tell me how it is down there..

What kind of stuff were you wanting to know?

The state park is really nice..small but nice. I don't know of any pure cobalt clubs down here just a few general car clubs.

In august the weather is incredibly hot. The BLVD should be jammin in august which is right off of Myrtle beach State Park and they usually cruise and show off their cars down there. That's where all the kids cruise and show off their cars and stuff.

Feel free to ask me anything I should be able to help you out with anything you need to know.

 

do yourself a favor and dont go to the state park. If your going to camp go to Ocean Lakes, Pirate Land, or Lakewood. Those places are so much more better than the state park. The state park does not have any ammenties. If you got any questions shoot me a PM...I have been to all the camp grounds down there many times.

 

So what are the spots down there, I am going back down there June 19th-22nd and am staying beach front just off 7th ave S(dont remember the hotel name). Would love to find some automotive related nightlife since I am not a club type of person. Death, you were talking bout the Blvd, You talking bout ocean or another? I am decently familiar with the area and know some of the roads down there.

Red, I am trying to PM you my number and stuff and it keeps saying database error. We should meet up down there sometime maybe cruise... even if you dont have the slowbalt anymore, I (kinda) remember you from the Piedmont drag strip meet you seemed like cool peeps.

 

Yeah, Oceans Blvd used to be jamming at this time of year but it hasn't picked up yet and from what I hear it probably wont. Which sucks because that was always the place to be if you had a nice car because thats where everyone cruised and they would have a bunch of people showing their cars in the parking lots and stuff. I will check it out this weekend and see whats going on and I will hit you up with a pm if I find out anything.

 

Are there any dragstrips in the area?

 

There is a poor 1/8 mile dragstrip in Myrtle Beach but other than that no. I have been meaning to check it out but from what I hear its not a great drag strip and it was shut down for a good while by the city. The next closest dragstirp would be Darlington if I am not mistaken. The Myrtle Beach Speedway will sometimes have drag and drift races in the summer but I do not know if they are still doing that. I haven't gotten a flyer yet but I will ask my buddy to make sure.

 

Thanks! I would appreciate that as I plan to go to Myrtle Beach soon and would like to do some racing while there. If you could PM me the address or phone number to the dragstrip, I would appreciate it. As for the speedway drag and drift races, I went out to that a couple years back when I was there and won in my GTO! It was pretty neat.
