Some of us are closer to la vernge,and dont get a side exit you will loose power

i said betweein a side exit and a cutout. cmillers side exit to me just sounds so foooking good and he is selling it. but i was going to go pick up a cutout today so now im torn

 

i like the cutout cause i can cruise around stock or open it up rather than drawing attention to myself all the time

 

Guy here has a side exit on his ss/tc and he hates it,he says it just chokes alot of his power and james has a cutout on his its real loud but gets annoying.quick but thats the good thing u can just close the cutout. Iirc you gain top end power but lose bottom end power with a cutout

 

dblock do you know where james's cutout is placed in the downpipe and what direction it points?

no...took the kids to the circus today but summit racing is 15 minutes from my house so im tempted to go run and grab the cutout

 

I been thinking about putting one on my car.

 

**** lets do it at the meet i'll grab 2 y pipes and 2 cutouts and we can go have them welded in saturday morning

im trying to find a shop to weld it in right now. the more i keep thinking about it the more i want it. but i still have to buy my meth kit next week and im kinda eying a pc'd valve cover from powell..................decisions

side exit you lose power on bottom end and gain on top but you need a 2.5-3 inch exit. wwith the cutouot you can open or close anytime. Cutout is the way... qtp cutouts..!

 

Ive only seen them on modernperformance

was going to go with a qtp but then i saw summit makes their own. they make good parts and if i have any problems with it its just a 15 minute drive to the summit store.

damn i knew i saw a qtp with a y pipe combo somewhere! that's the same price as the combo i was looking at for the above posted pieces. may go that route instead but im not a fan of waiting on items to arrive.......hhhmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

Shouldnt take but a couple of days.I have order stuff from them before and ships fast.
