I know that we have all talked about meeting somewhere in NC, so lets pick a place in the middle & set a date. Someone had mentioned Ashboro. I think that's a good centralized location. Any suggestions?

Hey! more NC/SC guys... dunno if you've been reading the NC SS thread.... but I'd like to set something up for us in late april or early may.... kinda a springtime meet... where the weather is nice and warm for everyone... and so everyone can have time to schedule it in.

Looks like we've got a couple of guys from the Raliegh area... I'm over in Charlotte myself... I posted on *************** and got the interest of some guys in northern GA... maybe we could get some of the jbody guys in on it too?

I'd like it to ideally be a mostly GM meet.... Cavs... 'balts... Ions... etc. but anyone's welcome.

I think we should start getting a list together of who all is interested in a meet up.

This can be the official thread for the "get together" or I can start another one later on.

 

wouldnt mind driving up from florida for that 1. ive got family in charlotte. the ohio cobaltfest is just too many miles for us but we can make NC thats only 550 miles.

Sounds good SilverStreak. Early spring will work. I have no problem with meeting in Charlotte. I know there are some people in eastern NC that wanted to meet, hopefully Charlotte isn't too far. Name a time & place & I'm there.

 

Charlotte definately works for me too. Then we can get some people from South Carolina in on it too. Right now any date or time works for me. Not like I've already made plans for the spring.

I letf NCSU, and I am joining the Winston-Salem Police. Academy starts April 24th, so If I can make it I will be there.

Not to sound stupid but I'm gonna be at Camp Lejune here in a few months and was wondering how far away the meet is from there?? I don't know the area at all but would be interested in meeting there. I pick up my 06 Silver Cobalt SS S/c w/ G85 right before I drive down there.

 

Camp Lejune is about 300mi from Charlotte... about 5 hours... if you wanna come, you're more than welcome. I think we can have a date set by the end of next month.

I've posted invites on a few other forums... looks like a decent responce. We may end up with 20 people or so, which would be very good.

As far as the date goes, I'd like to have it set by the end of February. That'll give March and most or all of April for folks to plan.

The four days I'm looking at on the calendar here are April 22nd, April 29th, May 6th, or May 13th.

Since this meet was picked primarily for us Cobalt/Ion drivers, I'd like to set the date here and then let the folks on other forums know.

Will any of those dates work better than any others for y'all?

All of those dates work for me Silver. Definately be nice to get the dates agreed on so this way I have enough time to take those days off of work.

As far as the actual location in Charlotte I'm gonna leave that up to everyone else. Haven't been there yet. Don't know what's there, but I'll be there.

 

I saw how the Georgia people are organizing so I figure I give this a little bump for us.

 

May 6th is the weekend of finals for me... would prefer in april..
