So, what's some thoughts on a meet next Friday out at either Kennedy Space Center or Jetti Park for the Space Shuttle Launch? (pending confirmation on the date)

I thought it would be kinda cool to cruise out there and get some pics of the cars with the Shuttle going up in the background. Thoughts??

Yea, you can see the thing forever. I like the Jetti Park idea because it is only about 2 miles as a bird flies from the launch pad right on the beach. So we could get all the cars together and some really nice shots with the shuttle going up.

 

Damn that would be awesome if I could make it down there. Probably wont happen though.

What time does it launch and when would everyone meet up? I have work as well but would like to know the times

I'm sure I'll see it. I'll be watching from the LCC, if we go anytime during my work hours. We were targeting the 27th, but now who knows...?

I work for a NASA contractor, BTW.

Launch has been postponed. I'll post any updates in this thread. Right now there is no date or time for a launch. They won't know until after the 25th.

Yea, they said on their site that they will have a date by the 25th....So we'll see what's going to happen. Hopefully it goes up on a day I am off.
