i'm 99% sure that the regular cobalt axle will work. it just won't have a sway bar built in. could be a quick fix...

I'm not sure how the hubs attach on the base cars, if it's the same or not. I know you have to cut something off of a disc axle to run drums, but you might be able to go the other way just fine. I haven't actually looked inside a cobalt drum rear, ever.

Has it been over a year since you bough your car? I think if u call a DNV lawyer you can sew or get your moneys back for buying a car not knowing it had a bent frame........I've seen my uncle done a few of those wen He buys cars from the auction.

a car doesn't get a rebuilt title from that. My whole left side was torn up and they still didn't total it. Front bumper, left front quarter panel, a-arm, rim, tire, headlight, and whatever else they found.

you always have to check there work. World ford of p. Pines didn't repair a trunk floor pan dent even though they were paid for it. Luckily I don't trust any shops so I check their work. Every car repair has had numerous defects upon me doing a 2 min look over after work.

Lol, in hialeah, metal doesn't bend. Physics exemption.

Could you put in a call to Powell to see what would be needed? I know the base axle doesn't have the same swaybar setup but that really doesn't matter unless he starts autocrossing the car.

They don't understand what the **** they are talking about. The whole beam is bent, probably where the hub attaches on that side since there is so much twist on that tire only.

I was asking for Josh to call, since that's his canadian buddy

he thinks it is an actual straight axle like an old school vehicle. They still move if nothing is binding internally but there is abnormal wear. Tell him stonny has a trailer with a bent axle and it pulls just fine for the last 5k miles but we bent it back as straight as possible. Can you visibly see the bend? If so bring it to him along with a jack so there are no excuses about being able to look at it.

The left rear tire has about 7 degrees of camber. ******* Stevie Wonder could see it. Makes josh's "stance" look like child's play.

i already messaged him earlier today. unless it's a disc brake axle, it needs brackets for the calipers.

powell makes brackets for it but now were talking cost of the part plus shipping from canada. there has to be a disc brake axle here somewhere.
