BBQ on the beach at Fort de Soto on Sunday the 15th. Convoying with others from your area is recommended if possible.
Target time to begin arriving is 1pm or a little earlier.
Cooking to begin between 2 & 3pm, eat as you get hungry.
The BBQ will end shortly before dusk, with the park closing at dusk.

Current weather forcast has a ~84* temp with 40% chance of rain in the park area on the afternoon.

*Anyone who is a good photographer with an SLR, we need you to get some good group and car pictures*
Mostly it will be to get to know each other, eat some good BBQ, and get some pics of our rides. If everything works out well, we can try to do this every month.

NOTE: BYOB! Please, no drinking and driving or under age drinking since we will be out in public. Would hate for anyone to get arrested.

Remember, I'm still new to this area so I need some of the locals to help me out. Where would be a good place to link up and have a bbq? I know this isn't like Washington with its mountain roads, but is there any nice roads we can go cruising on and get some killer pictures and such?

Where is local, like Tampa area, right? I really want to go to one, since it has been a while, but with gas and such, I would like it to be a nice large BBQ beach thing. Lol.

 

Yea, Tampa area. And the BBQ beach thing is what I would enjoy the most as well. We just need to find a good local beach with a BBQ area (come on local guys. ) and figure out the best time for everyone and we're all set.

Was trying to plan it during the day, so you working till 8pm kinda sucks. Fort de soto sounds like a workable idea. Longboat key is a little to far south though.

Since it is planned for during the day though, we could just as easily do it on Sunday. Would that work better for everyone?

Fort de soto is the plan, on Sunday. Anyone live in that area or been there and know of a good bbq/chill area there? I haven't been yet so need some help.

Everyone who wants to attend, please chime in on the thread or message me. I need to know your coming, if anyone is coming with you (GF/Wife/Friends/Etc), and what you plan on bringing for the BBQ. We'll need grillers, snacks, drinks, plastic plates/forks/knives, and grill gear (charcoal, lighter fluid, thongs, etc). Also let me know what time you want to start at.

I would suggest people find others near them and convoy down there together. Anyone near Brandon or east Tampa can convoy down there with me.

Hmm.. I am up for that Sunday. Its been a while since I have been to a BBQ, and I certainly cant turn a good one down. If I had access to an SUV that day, I would bring down the jetski for us to use. Just let me know if you guys would be interested?
