stock SS cat-back on LS coupe?

and if so this should make decent sound right? then ill prob get an axle back?

suggestions?

stock ss s/c is 2.5" up until the rear axel where it becomes 2.25"

Honestly can't see much of a sound difference, muffler is almost the same. Slightly larger piping, but not worth the hassle if you're doing it for performance. The SS tip looks much better though

the stock ls exhaust is a 2" exhaust it actually does a decent job as far as gains and is much cheaper then an after marketsystem

i guess im more concerned with sound difference, im not fooling myself its only a LS... i would just like a deeper sounding tone, no ricer effect

I gained 3hp going from a stock LSJ catback to a GMPP one. There isn't power to be had in a catback on these cars. Header/dp is where the restriction is.

true.. the full header back from a cobalt does a decent amount on the 2.2s

The LSJ header is bigger, as is the DP. Ported LSJ manifold and a catless 2.5" dp would be strong and cheap on a 2.2, the cat-back is basically a sound/looks thing in my experience.
