I will be in Scotsdale, AZ starting next saturday for a few days on business. I get there saturday morning and the conference doesn't start until some time sunday. So, anybody know of anything going on that night, or any decent places to hang out in that area? Thanks.

 

It depends on what you are wanting to do. There are a lot of bars and clubs in the Scottsdale area. Also there is a Saturday night car show at the Pavillions. Tempe is also around the corner and has some pretty nice places.

 

Well, I was kinda thinking about some place to get a few drinks. I will not have a rental car so it will either be walking or getting a taxi. I am staying at the FAirmont Scottsdale Princess if that helps any.

well, the pavilions are in scottsdale, as was stated earlier, that's always fun and there's more than a few cobalts there usually... along with 200 other cars

Bars, there's a ton of good bars, but all pretty expensive in scottsdale... it's kinda a rich part of town. a good place for chinese food and good drinks is Wok Star on Scottsdale & Shea. North West Corner! I used to work there before they opened the bar, and it is a great place. it's like a Chinese food Punk Rocker bar haha

 

Thanks I will have to chekc out the pavilions. Is this like a weekend cruise-in/car show kinda deal?

 

people go there, park and shoot the **** about cars all evening long. you can go cruising afterwards thoguh if you want. i usually don't

Well I made it to Scottsdale and went to the show at the pavillions. It was nice to meet a couple of the guys that are on here in person. It was a pretty good show, although it cost me way to much money to get there and back from the hotel. Still that is a great show. About the only thing like that we have in my area excludes cars past 1972. I liked the mix that was at this show. Anyway, nice to meet you guys. I am having trouble typing because I am drunk, so I will stop now.
