There is, but at 125k miles the crank sensor failed, which caused it to run on either 2 or 3 cylinders...still not sure how many, but the one(s) that were't firing were still dumping fuel. Well, driving two miles to get it home probably wasn't the best for an old cat, and after we fixed it up the CEL for the cat won't go away. This was months ago, and emissions are due in December, and at this point I'd rather just tune out the CEL than replace a cat. Although may end up getting a used one if it's cheaper.

Yep 14.0 A/F in the midrange PE. Nicks car used to knock too. It was so crazy I thought it was false knock because I had never seen a LNF knock on 5* of midrange timing before. I have him on 24* of midrange timing now with no knock at all.
Brett you put some E-85 in with the gas and I bet your knock disappears. You have to tune for the E-85 mix though

We still need to try and race again without a major fail though... lol

iI got like 5 things in the mail about this. I didn't really feel like going, don't think our 'chevys' would be welcomed there as much as anything with a V8

probably be cheaper to buy one and have madhatter muffler weld it on for ya. Should cost you under $100.

Yeah 91 being the highest thing next to 100 that you can buy sucks... Just wish there was a e85 station that wasnt far away. Then i would consider it. Temps dont help either :/

You will want it once you crank the boost up on your car. On 91 octane and 20psi you will be lucky to get more than 10* of timing without knock.

You can mix the 91 and the 100 to get a desired octane too. The Loves next to Firebird has 100 octane. there are octane calculators online that will help figure it out for you. I wanted to play this weekend so I put 91 in and then bought 5 gallons of 100 and was running 94/95. Probably a waste of money, but you could feel a little bit of a difference...
