The Crank Angle Sensor does need a spacer I believe. I didnt even think of the clutch.

Yeah I dont think you can just simply use a LSJ disc with a L61 pressure plate due to the bolt holes being different.You could swap cranks but then that would need custom pistons in which you defeated the purpose of going to a 2.2 as you just shortened your stroke(2.2 and 2.0 have the same bore,different stroke)Going to take much research to see what has to be done to swap this in.

dropping a complete 2.2 in a 2.0 car is going to be a **** ton of work. the f35 with a 2.2 i dont think will physically fit in a car. you would need to find an f23 as well. i believe that there will need to be an adaptor plate between the trans and engine if you attempt to use an f35. the clutch/flywheel/pressure plate/TOB are completely different, the trigger wheel is different. thats a lot of work man. the tuning would need to be completely custom. i dont think tweeking a lsj tune would work well.

and like steve said, the 2.2 is only bigger. the 2.0 is stronger in EVERY WAY!

He is not worried about how strong it is. Just prob. gunna sell it..

I searching for a build that should show what he went through converting an LSJ car to the 2.2 or 2.4..

Edit:

So the LE5 can bolt up to the F35?? That is what I am showing on the build I was looking for. Only things he changed were Oil cooler lines, spacer for CPS, and drilled holes for the IC pump mount.

On a plus note he sent me a picture of the motor.... looks clean. haha. I just want to know why they would pull it out of a car after only a little bit of miles.

I actually bought it last night, it looks brand new I bought it for 1000 .

Supposedly it only has 50 miles on it and they took the motor off to put a different motor..
I think they stole it or something but it is new . I'll post a pic later . I think im gonna get it going next Friday.
Damn that's expensive for an L61

yeah for a gen1 2.2 at that.Blah! Def should have went a different route.And if I'm looking at the mount bracket correctly,this motor is from 02-05.What car is it out of?

I told you in my text to ask more questions about it before picking it up man. I thought the link that you sent me it had a transmission with it? Would have made the deal a little better.

That is not a 07 motor,at all.wrong mount, wrong ignition.looks to me they pulled it out of a 02-05 car then pressure washed it. Should of consulted with us 1st to make sure.
