I never said 5:0.you assumed 5:0 and then googled the numbers to compare.lol. I was thinking a 5.8 mustang.but the zo6 sounds interesting.hopefully they follow through cause ford has been kicking the **** out of gm in the performance department,in all models.

Don't know what ford has on a z06 or zr1 for that matter.. Maybe the ford GT but they don't even make that anymore.

Yea mustangs are going to kick the crap out of it,not to mention The encryption on the ecm for this car which is changing at every moment.tunes will be difficult. Gm only did a smart thing by making it into a Ferrari because now every mid life crisis will be a c-ferrariviper 7 instead of a miata or mustang.I hop they at least make zo6 versions with more power.

This is hilarious. Carrol Shelby would turn his back on this argument. You're really trying to compare ANY mustang to the c7 vette. Two completely different animals. The c7 interior design blows the mustang interior design out of the water. In terms of engine output and efficiency the new (pushrod) lt1 dumps on the coyote 5.0, chassis and suspension technology again goes to the vette. If the Overall driving experience is on the same level (most likely far superior) to the c6 the mustang doesn't stand a chance. the only place mustang kicks the crap out of corvette is in the enterprise car lot. V6 convertible over here yallllll

Dont get me wrong,its the best looking car from gm I have ever seen,but I see no corvette cues.when I was watching the live unveil,I thought ,"when did Ferrari show up".if it had more corvette cues or even stingray cues,I would like it a lot more.the corvette is a dynasty,a legend.when you see a badgeless vett,you know its a vett.debadge this,you think its a Ferrari,unless your looking at the back,a Camaro.I'm sure its a beast,and a great handling car,but in my OPINION,they lost the corvette look completely but I bet sales will still sky rocket.

I just had one pass me the other day who's license plate said '4drvett' on it, had exhaust too sounded really good.
