A member on the AZfullthrottle forum says he'll 'probably' show up. He has a 95 civic he'd like to dyno. I told him i couldnt promise dyno time because i have no idea how long these cars will take. So, yeah.

As far as actual SRTs dynoing, i only know of me and Stage3R. There's maybe 2-3 others coming to spectate that i dont spot on the spectator list. Gonna be PACKED.

You can take justa4banger back off the list. Talked to him tonight and he won't make it out.

I'm really psyched to dyno. My car ran it's best time ever of 12.78@115 on 100% e85 tonight. I'm still stunned.

I wonder if that is why you were going through map sensors like crazy for a while? It would explain why the upper maps kept blowing due to excessive blow by.

Drag radials. My street tires probably could have squeezed a 12.9 if i tried hard enough. Best time on streets last night was 13.03.

Document ID: 2470824
#PI0128: Engine Misfire/Low Compression - (May 12, 2010)

Subject: Engine Misfire/Low Compression

Models: 2008-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR
2008-2010 Pontiac Solstice
2008-2010 Saturn SKY
2008-2009 Daewoo G2X
2008-2010 Opel GT
Equipped with 2.0L Engine (VIN X - RPO LNF)

Condition/Concern:

Some 2.0L Turbo engines may come in with a misfire on one cylinder.

For further misfire diagnosis, a technician should perform a compression test. The results may lead to a cylinder with low compression (85-90 psi). This may be the cause the misfire. The cylinder with the low compression may have a burned/ damaged piston from detonation. The damage to the piston is usually above and below the first compression ring in an area about 25.4 mm (1 in) in length.
Recommendation/Instructions:

Damage of this type to the piston is usually caused by aftermarket equipment (examples are: air induction systems, intercooler cooling devices, NOS systems, ECM calibrations), all designed to boost the output of the engine. This increased output of the engine can lead to severe detonation in certain conditions. If diagnosed with this condition, the vehicle should be inspected for aftermarket performance equipment and/or calibrations (Refer to bulletin 08-06-04-033C for help on Identifying calibrations) and it should be noted on the repair order.

The GM Accessories power upgrade kit by itself is designed for this engine and should be the recommended performance enhancing equipment. Using the GM accessory kit with other aftermarket components could damage the engine as well.

If repairs to the engine are the result of the installation or use of a non-GM approved part, the warranty will not be honored.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information."

The service manager told me that if my mods don't look like they caused the problem then warranty may cover it. Here is to hoping, I doubt it though.

I do think the maps going out are linked to this.

I do think the maps going out are linked to this.
Ring land issues cause excessive blow by which means oil and gas vapors get pushed into the crankcase, valve cover and finally the intake manifold. The oil and gas vapors get into the MAP sensor which causes it to short circuit. Not sure when your first sensor failed but I remember you telling me you just replaced the upper MAP right before I started tuning your car.

That really sucks about the engine. I know when my rings went it didn’t run good also vaccum at idle was like 10 and normal is like around 15 and in gear above 2500rpm letting off the gas it would be 15 and normal was 19 to 20. And yeah I check that every few days.
