I was reading on other forums and leaving the pavilions Saturday night a GTO lost control on the 202. For everyone who goes to the Pavilions you probably seen his car. it was super charged and he always revved it up. Reports say he was driving with friends and no one stopped, he was alone in his car and died in the crash.

8 dead in 7 crashes over 24-hour-period, DPS reports,Deadly weekend here in az

Yeah i had a friend die this weekend when that guy was trying to escape the cops ended up hitting my friends truck and flipping it killing the passenger who i work with...

 

Ya know, they ought to make it legal to just drag people out of the car who run from the cops and shoot them on sight. We had one here this week, a friggin doctor of all people late for a job interview, cop tried to pull him over, he wouldn't stop, they called off the chase so the guy slowed down a LITTLE - pretty much back to the speed he was going before which was still WAY too high for the roadway and ended up killing a motorcyclist and he still didn't even stop. Just drag their ass out and shoot em IMO.

Jeez that's crazy... I mean he's a doctor you think he could pay the frikken ticket. How do you not stop when your run a motorcyclist of all people over? Jeez.

Yeah, thanks man. People just need to stop being stupid and learn how to drive here. Too many idiots on the roadways.

 

Wow... I guess whomever he was rolling with were some "good" friends seeing how they just kept on going...

 

pretty sad. my prayers go to his family. ecspecially since i parked 2 rows up from his car that night and remember staring at it. i left the pavs 15min before this accident passing that area. and as said on another forum, if those were his friends that's truely disturbing.

 

Another sad story, kinda why were resorting to paying the money to go to the track now, the way people race around here is just stupid.

 

Man people need to learn to watch out for motorcyclists. Having ridden myself, I know how people tend to merge over on you even when you're doing everything you should like making sure to stay in a good lane position and out of blind spots. My dad rides to phoenix everyday and I know he's a good rider, he still has close calls which is why my when he wanted a new bike my mom made him promise to not let one of us (3 boys in my fam 17-22) have the old one. I'm even careful of the ******** on bikes that tailgate and weave through traffic in obvious disregard of their own safety. Like the other day I was driving and I heard one come up into my blind spot, I was gonna change lanes but the only reason I didn't is because I had seen him a few lanes over when I passed him then heard his bike come around my side and resume riding in my blind spot. Wished I had an intercom so I could reprimand him for almost becoming another motorcycle casualty.

He was a friend of mine when I had my GTO then got the SS in mid July. His name is TJ. 20 years young and not to smart like most young adults when they are entitled to oown and drivew a car with way tooo much power beyond their driving abilities.

He was racing a Gixxer 750 from what another person that was on the freeway only 200 yards behind him told me. He was distracted some how and lost it! Car went 592 feet off the road before it stopped, rolled several times. TJ was still in the car, he died from massive internal injuries. This was the east bound lanes of the 202, there was another accident in the west bound lanes almost in the same area as the one on the east bound side.

It's Felony to leave the scene of an accident in Az. I told that person that contacted me and told me about this accident 15 minutes after he, 2 other guys and TJ left the Pavs, to go to the DPS and set the record straight. Well on Sunday mid day he went down with his dad and filed a report.

He was estimated to be going over 115 mph in a curved section of the freeway. There was another accident on the exact opposit side of the freeway in the west bound lanes.

This what the track is for KIDS!! This also why the laws are going to change dramatically in Az due this. I've already spoken to to friends that are DPS Detectives, and what they say is nothing short of intense.

Take it to the track that's all I'm going to say on this subj.

Sorry but there was another accident in the oppposite\west bound lanes adjacent to this accident that was also fatal but was a hit and run, has nothing to do with your friends accident tundra.

Get your facts straight before you start throwing stones. I work for the State Capital Police in down town Phx, and I happen to have met these young kids, and talked to all involved.
We're sorry for alll the losses that took place this weekend, it was the deadliest 24 hrs in Arizona Freeway history.


They all were kids under 22. Affraid to get into trouble for street racing.

And , as for that Doc that ran, police get the plate then go to the residence later that day or the next and serve him with a citation or jail for fleeing and eluding police.

 

What a shame, looks like a nice car and probably a nice guy as well.
