So im trying to talk my Fiance into moving to AZ. ive already made my mind up that i want to move but shes ify about it. My best friend that lived up here has moved out there and i pretty much have no friends around here anymore. lol! He just bought a 03 Black Golf GTI with a bigger Turbo and i wanna move out there to help him work on it and also to get away from the damn Michigan roads and snow... We will prolly be driving out there to visit the Chandler/ Queen Creek/ Phoenix area the first week of October and i am super excited!

Yeah thats what my buddy told me. that and the fact that i pretty much hate spiders, and he told me there are tarantulas and scorpions runnin around there... lol! thats why my Fiance is a lil scared to go. lol!

 

I live in Chandler and I dont see any tarantulas or scorpions. If you live in Queen Creek you might see more scorpions but probably no tarantulas. You have to live pretty close to a mountain if you want to see all that. I'd be more worried about black widows.

 

What's up? I live in Gilbert, no scorpions or tarantulas there. I grew up in Chandler, and maybe saw 6 scorpions in 14 years.

 

I live here in Chandler (and I have the sedan TC) and it's great for most of the year, even tho summer is hot. Let us all know when you come down here and I'm sure we'd all be happy to show you around. The thing you'll love the most is the roads are all great here, so it's always fun to drive. Not like MI where there are potholes and all everywhere.
And yeah, I've never seen anything worse than a cockroach here in town. When you get up to the mountains is when you can see some wildlife, but I've lived in AZ for 8yrs now and never had an issue.

 

Yeah im hoping that ill have enough money to drive down for a week or so. im gonna try to come down for the for the first week in October for my Fiances bday. my buddy Paul said hell show us around but he works full time so when hes at work i might hafta get ahold of some people to show us around.

Oh god!! black widows. lmao! i just dont wanna be laying under my car working on it and have a huge ass spider crawling up my leg. lmao!! And i have 2 lil weiner dogs that liek to look for trouble, and thats all i need is for them to get bit by a black widow or stung by a scorpion. lmao!! but i heard they have spray for those things,.

I have seen 1 scorpion in the last 30 years that I Have lived in Phoenix, Laveen (almost on a mountain), and now Gilbert... You will love this place.

 

Yeah man you got nothing to worry about... at my house I see one every 2 years. Really not that bad. And in winter the weather here is amazing.

 

i live on south mountain and ive seen no scorpions at my house since we built it when i was like 5 years old (19 now)

the only thing i see up here now is coyotes but they are harmless
