I'm in Calgary where winters can REEEEALLY suck. get some winter tires and you'll be fine so long as you drive sensibly.

ive never had to big of a problem in mine. this will be my 3rd winter w it. I used to drive from fort collins all the way up to copper 30-40 times in the winter. sometimes its scary, but im a good driver so im not bothered by it. I have all seasons, most people rock snow tread tho.

I live in AZ and I'm thinking about driving the balt up to Utah for some snowboarding. My car's lowered on sportlines and I have bfg g-force sport tires. You think I should try to find some different tires? or will I be fine with just some chains for just in case. I've driven in snow before, but not in my car.

calgary here as well and get some winter tires and drive sensibly and you will be fine. this will be my 4th winter with the cobalt and 2nd with the winter tires and its been great. i never get stuck. being lowered is a bit of a pain if you get into some really rutted roads but oh well.

I drove the car through the snow storms last year on the stock Continental SportContact 2's and my car did fine.

Except for slamming into a snow bank... with no stopping power.

ya all seasons are decent for area's with mild winters but for places with heavier winters winters should be a must. when i had my all seasons on stock i was sliding around everywhere if i gave it too much gas. with the winters i can still have some fun. and i'm a 2.4

I had an intrepid b4 my Balt and compared to that, the Balt slides like no other. I would get different tires. I live in WI and my street usually gets plowed last, so me n my dad usually just do it. Whenever there's more than 6 inches on the roads, I take his F250. just way better.

I have those Extreme contact DWS tuned continentals right now. Pretty neat tire but traction has gone down from what I was used to out of the sport contacts and there is significant body roll from the non reinforced sidewalls thats the sporty tires had.
