The Hooters right off of Bell on I-17...NOT the one of bell and the 101. It's near Applebee's and The Native New Yorker restaraunts.
Well I just went and drove it.... I think somethings wrong
The supercharger whines like crazy... no check engine light or anything... but it just doesnt feel any faster... I mean 25-40hp... you should really feel... Feels like it kind of bogs from 3500-4500.... I double checked the wiring and it looks good... pulleys looks good... I dunno... maybe im just crazy... Also I noticed my coolant temp getting up to about 208F.... It normally runs right at 187... Im gonna try and get with ray or someone at psi fi tomorrow ... See if i missed something

Hotter engine could be a sign of running lean... be careful there.

I know.... Im very concerned... although I did go out and drive it again about 10 mins ago (10pm)... It was about 10F cooler... outside temp gauge was reading 93F instead of 104F... Car felt much stronger... No raised engine temp... Seemed to run quite a bit smoother with no bogging ... I dont know... Maybe im just being paranoid (tend to that sometimes )... I went back and triple checked the whole install and it all looks good... Not to pat myself on the back but my solders looks sweet ... Im going to get it over to the dyno tomorrow if they can fit me in and see what the gains looks like as well as the AF...

yes , near the applebes , and native , right next to the car wash

id give the car a fewdays to adjust its fuel , to match with the curves with the new pulley

sounds like it will be more fun in cooler weather , i know it will be for all of us s/c people

at the track anytime , lol

even though i did play with tedro and his ss/sc , before the s/c he pulled away pretty quick from me

with the s/c , i stayed ahead of him , but he spun hard off the line , and was shifting at normal speed , so i stayed ahead of him , had he been shifting fast i think he woulda beat me

but not bad for a car with a best of a 16.0 n/a , and now with a s/c

i gotta get back to the track soon

Well phxSS... although ive had a lot of high powered cars... Im still a sucky driver... you would probably beat me even with the kit...

On that note... I drove the car a couple more times today... I think the PCM just had to adjust the fuel trim... Because it is running REALLY strong..... Low end torque feels quite a bit a up... Not mind blowing but very noticeable.... Mid range feels better.... Upper end feels really strong as well.... Seems as though everytime I continue to drive it.. it gets better !

Only goes up to 10.5psi... spikes to anywhere from 12-16 psi between shifts...

Now Im really bummed out though... was racing a civic si west bound on cactus just before tatum... in 2nd around 5500 rpm car acted like it had bounced off the rev limiter and the tach stopped working.... So i pulled over and restarted it... still no tach and car is in limp mode... I hope its not related to the kit... Im pretty sure ive read about this problem before though ?

ya I was beating his ass too... We started at Paradise village pkway... My the time the car fizzled on me I had like 4 car lengths (approx 55-60mph) .... I went and restarted it again after being home for about 5 mins... Cars fine again... Found some posts using the search .. Seems as though this problem is not unique at all.... dont think its related to the kit in anyway... Anybody go to the pavilions ? I drove by but didnt stop....

Does the car go into limp mode everytime you hit the rev limiter hard? If so, might be time to invest in an MSD DIS-2 (assuming it will work with your car) and set the rev limiter to about 50-100 rpm before the factory limiter.

I had the MSD-DIS-2 on my car for about a year, switched to the MSD DIS-2 Programmable in March. For both I had th limiter set to 6200 rpm (factory is 6250). The difference between the two limiters is VERY noticeable. The factory limiter is a fuel cut, and practically throws you through the windshield when it hits, extremely violent. The MSD limiter is an ignition cut, and much smoother, not violent at all.

Plus you get the 2-Step which helps w/ the launching

I wasnt even at fuel cutoff... It acted like it was hitting the limiter but I was only at 5500rpm... I think its some ECU glitch... Ive read a bunch of previous posts concerning the same problem... Havent heard of a fix...

Hmm the stock SRT computer will do that when it sees too much boost. Do you have a piggy back fuel computer yet?
