Unhappy I will no longer be a 40 series guy...

Tomarrow, I'm going down to Chuck's Speed and RV to pick up a U-bend mandrel bent tube, then head up to pro muffler and get a magnaflow thrown on with U-bend. I like the flowmaster don't get me wrong, but I'm getting tired of the super ricy sound when its cold. Plus my next door neighbor has complained about it being too loud. Shes not a nagging old lady, she just works the night shift and has to sleep all day, and her bedroom is the closest room in their house to my drive way. Plus the major reason is because I didn't get the performance boost I wanted from my flowmaster, everyone who got magnaflow or corsa said they noticed a boost, I noticed a very minor change, I thought it was normal but I noticed a HUGE increase when I put my intake on. So tomarrow I will be a changed Cobalt owner. Plus I listened to phsykostevo's exhaust (magnaflow muffler) and it sounds pretty damn good. So I have decided on a magnaflow switch, flowmasters just aren't for 4 bangers... I STILL WOULDN'T PUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN A FLOWMASTER ON A V8, I'm a loyal flowmaster user... with V8s (2 super 40's on my truck)

Don't feel bad man. It should be a good switch. My little brother has a 02 SVT Focus with a cat back Magnaflow system on it. It's a little loud on start up, but sound's pretty mellow and nice after that. Now when the cat is removed and the bypass pipe is on......it's a different story. I'm not one for really loud exhaust's. Deep and powerfull always win's in my book. I think you'll be happy with it.

you *****!!! , j/k I have magnaflow right now and it sounds pretty decent , sometimes I don't like it but I think thats because I have always drove mustangs and I'm used to the deepness of a V8 , which I will be going back to when the wife approves : )

I think is sounds somewhat similar to the corsa. I like a sound like this on a 4 banger, flowmasters sound better with a **** load of air passing through them, like the amount of air a 355 ci (5.8L) V8 would be passing through, not a dinky little 122 ci 4 banger. Magnaflows are more for smaller engines.
