Looking to talk to someone in AZ.

Hey everyone, I’m an SRT-4 owner in AZ looking for an SS driver to talk to about their car. I see that another guy from my AZ SRT-4 board is one here as well, mchat. I'm not here to troll, i just know nothing about you guys' cars and am curious to learn about them, and the set-up. I have NEVER seen one on the road and so I figured I would come on here and try this route. I am not necessarily looking to race (though I can be persuaded), more just to talk cars and see what the SS is like. Both SS and ION drivers are welcome to respond. Thanks again, and it is nice to meet all of you.

i drive a s/c'd cav , LOL

best 1/4 so far is a 14.52 @ 94 , not bad for a auto trans and 5-7 psi

but stock to stock the cobalts are slightly better as a whole car , as for fastest the srt's have the bigger edge

overall both a fun cars , and have the good and bad issues

the other srt guy your refering to has a fast as hell srt , and its dam fast

most of the guys ive met here are all pretty cool , youll have to come out to one of the next get togethers

I was in mchat's car a while back, and i will admit, the car scarred the hell out of me. Then again, i wasn't driving (always makes me a bit nervous), and we got to 110 - 120 or so on a 25-35 mile-per-hour zone before i asked him to shut it down...

As far as time go, mchat's car is in the low 11's and mine is in the top of 13's low 14's. I turned up my boost though, and have practiced at Speedworld a bit more, so i should be able to cut those down. I would be happy to meet up with you guys sometime at one of your meets. Unlike a lot of people, i like cars in general, not just mine. More than anything, i want to see how it feels and what the interior / engine-bay looks like as i have heard they are nicer than the SRT-4's.

Yea, but Nick was only "On It" for a few seconds.

Seat time. It's the only way to improve your times w/o spending alot of money. Now that it's cooled off, I'm hoping to see more Cobalts out at Speedworld/Fireturd.

And the engine bay is MUCH cleaner than ours... that is until you take the "Don't look under here" plastic engine cover off.

Did I see you at speedworld last weekend then? I would have been the red one, that showed up fashionably late. Not the yellow one that exploded, did I tell anyone about that?

What? I don't think you did.

*edit* It was probably the adjuster that drove Bulldog's car.

Well it didn't really explode, but I guess on this guys 4th run down the track, shifting into second, he ripped the axle out of the hub, and blew up his clutch. I was a little bit scared to race my car that night, but I came out alright.

Wow! I wonder what caused that. Hopefully it was just a defect on his car and doesn't plague us all.
