Congrats man! I bought a house in 2002 for $167k, the equity over the years has made it worth $292k. (I had it appraised last summer for that) Anyway, enjoy your new home, it's a great investment!!!

Congrats, man. I can tell it's your first house. I just bought my first home in Sept. It's very exciting, and you may find that upgrading the house is MORE addicting than the car! That's a decent price for that house. Where's it at, and what upgrades did you order?

upgrades like stagger cabinets, a lazy susan cus the gf thought it was cool a clean steel appliance upgrade for the kitchen, full 5.1 pre installed surround wiring, upgraded carpet, security system with wireless sensor capabilities for every single window, upgraded door knobs, upgraded shower setup (glass shower with half wall seperating a seperate bath tub all done in cultured marble.) washer dryer upgraded to energy saving front loaders, pre-wires for ceiling fans in each room, pre wire for cable in the computer/guest room, coach lights for the garage and i'm sure i'm missing something but that all I can remember.

I didn't get tile cus I can get it cheaper by just going to az tile and picking some up with my dad cus he designs the buildings for them.

Very nice, but it's gonna take me forever to get out there to hang with you now. It should be worth it though. 61" DLP 1080p + PS3...yummy.

Sam's Club has the Samsung 1080p 61" with the stand for $2189 right now. Hell of a deal.

Hell yea, man. Very nice. It's torture to wait for the house to be built though. I used to check mine out every weekend, and I got more anxious every weekend.

Yeah I want to wait for the new 3 laser projection from Mitsubishi. From what I have read it has less loss because it has one less lens to go through and there is no need to regularly replace the lasers.

the loan isn't final 'yet' but depending on if i factor in closing costs or if they are covering it the loan can be 203k or 209k. I could care less as long as I get a low interest rate and that means something like 6.5% or less with the posibility of buying down the interest rate so I can get it to 5.5 or less%.

Unreal. A house like that would cost me around 400K out here.

Congratulations bro and I wish you the best of luck.

I just went through this a year and a half ago. No fun but oh so worth it. Congrats.
