Shift knobs

What are the best shift knobs for the hot sunny days coming up here in AZ?

I currently have the metal Hurst STS knob on...and DAMN does that thing get hot! It was unpleasant shifting that puppy when it was 95 outside, I can't imagine what it'll be like when it's 115! What do you guys use for your summer/all year knobs???

A couple years back there was someone who would knit a shift knob cover to your specifications for like $5. I can't find the website online anymore but thats where I got mine. I just leave it on all the time...

Prior to that I used a cut up cotton glove and just stretched one of the fingers over the knob lol

:edit:
Looks like the old site used to be shiftknobcovers.com

I don't have a stock shift knob at all! I bought the car with the Hurst STS installed!

And does the yarn-ball-thing actually work at not making the shift knob a reverse 5-speed shift pattern branding iron?

The Hurst STS shift knob is way different than a normal knob I found out this weekend. The reverse lock on it mean they make the knob with this big portion cut out on the bottom of the knob, and then threads are in the center of the knob, rather than at the bottom...looks like I might need to get myself a beanie/condom/cover then!
