speedworld
So my group of speed freaks are fed up with the las vegas drag strip.
They have cancelled so many events which is their right but when you call 2 hours before
and they tell its a go and you load up 20 vehicles and drive 150 miles then get there and guess what cancelled. sorry about the rant
Any ways hows speedworld?
distance is about the same for us to drive. We also hear there are much better cars there then in vegas.

On azht.net it seems like a lot of them go to Speedworld instead of Firebird.
I go to Firebird because it's a lot closer for me. But everyone says Speedworld is a better track to run on.

I too have heard it is nicer, but it's about a 45min to 1hr drive for me so I have never gone. I want to go check it out sometime, so if you guys go let us know and maybe we could have a big meet there.

I been there many many times, the facility is **** compared to firebird, crap pavement or dirt, dirty run down buildings, dusty. But the actual track is "ok", if firebird actually prepped their track its the best in AZ hands down. Unfortunaly they half ass the track prep unless its an actual race.

Yeah las vegas is real sloppy on there track prep the give us one pass of vht at the start of the night and 400 runs later it is like ice.
We have a few cars that will actually break loose 3/4 of the way down on street night.
During sponsered events there is no problems, very good track prep.

So what would you do, when my car pulls up sounding like a honda, then precides to walk you? I raced an ss s/c on the freeway from a 75 mph roll in 3rd gear and I walked him like he was standing still.

Ive read what you guys think of the track and i can agree for the most part, usually aint the greatest but itll do. Havent raced on it with this car yet but plan on it in a month or two when it cools down. As far as cars go, yes, a few hondas do show up. Every now or then something nice will go down, new Z06 last week : ). Theres also a guy that races a Bronco with probably a 7" lift kit with air horns lol.
