Advice for Visiting California!

hey Everyone!

I know that there is a lot of Cobalt SS members out there that are from California so this thread is for you. I want to visit California, most likely the So Cal around san diego and L.A. and I was wondering if you could give me some advice.

Things like: What time of year is the best to go.
Best/ cheapest places to stay.
Things to avoid and watch out for.
How to make the most out of my trip.
Do you know of any web sites that offer killer deals on a California trip
Best place to rent a car( id love to rent a saturn Sky for a fair price)

Anything that you can think of please dont hesitate to tell me, im all ears!

Things like: What time of year is the best to go. ------honestly april to october like cali balt said. its not humid but its warm day and night.

Best/ cheapest places to stay. ---either find a member to stay with. or look for deals at hotels that are not close to theme parks.

Things to avoid and watch out for. -----certain cities you will want to avoid by yourself unless ur with someone you know. compton. watts. skid row. santa ana. some parts of inland empire. and even some parts in san diego.

How to make the most out of my trip.---hang with locals. best bars best foods. knows their way aorund. easiest to hang out. how old r u and what do you like to do? are u coming by urself or others too?

Do you know of any web sites that offer killer deals on a California trip---not so much websites as much as pamplhets at the airports or other area.

Best place to rent a car( id love to rent a saturn Sky for a fair price--enterprise prolly ur best best. or any others. just looka round when you land if your flying.

best advice is to just hang with some balt members that know their way around

i got **** planned for another balt owner coming here over spring break. lol

never been to socal but i hear this is really fun if you are over there:

what you do is you go to compton to watch the fireworks and on your way back to the hotel, you and your friends ride through the ghetto and throw spoons at peole out front of their house. if you hit them, then you book out of their and if you miss you have to go back and get the spoon

A lot of great places to go camping. in the summer, the mtns are a great place to go on hikes or bike rides. in the spring and fall the desert are also great you can have access to a jeep. or if you want to stay in the city, you can find a lot of places to go for a drive and then catch a game at a local sports arena or stadium. sports bars are also a fun place to go. in the evening.
