Anyone near Riverside wanna check a car out for me??
There's a used HHR SS at Saturn of Riverside. I have been talking to them for 2 days now and I am going to make the 4 hour trip to look at it and maybe purchase it tomorrow after work. Anyone mind running by there tomorrow morning and taking a look at it and posting back to me telling me if its as great as they say it is? It's practically brand new, 782 miles on it, never owned used for a GM mechanic training car.
Here's the link.

I don't want to waste my time driving a total of 8 hours if there is even some scratches on it. I am trading my Cobalt LT in on it, need a family car soon and don't want to get rid of it if I am going to regret it.

Well that was a total kick in the nuts. I get there and test drive the thing, and it rattled like crazy, the dash shook and the shifter felt like it was filled with dirt every shift. I guess they got it from GM in an auction, it used to be a mechanic test they used to take to shops and have gm techs work on for practice (never heard of that before but that's there story). So from driving it, I'm guessing almost every part that could be pulled off that car already had been, a lot. Then they look at my cobalt and offer me 5500 on it, cuz they said my mods are a safety concern to them and also they won't take lowered vehicles on the lot....it's policy. Quite an upset not just with the car but with the people I dealt with, they knew I was driving 4 hours out which turned into 5.5 with traffic and the totally didn't care in the end. Wasted a day of my life, and still stuck with a slobalt I guess the search continues for another ss or someone to take my balt off my hands. Thanks again Joey for taking the time to check it out before hand, wish u had the chance to drive it before I made the trip.

that ******* blows, yea service in Riverside can go either way, and those dealers are careless.
i guess my car was used for rental somewhere before the carmax got it haha so it had some iffy things going on like some fasteners missing, rim damage(like from a curb) and the front bumper isnt lined up haha, but the car drives great, 06 with 25k on it so not too bad.
sorry to hear it didnt go as planned, and no problem

That's what I told her, she just doesn't like the hump in the middle of the back seat, our daughters booster seat sits weird in it right now, so she is skeptical about a full size car seat.
