I have the perfect place for a meet, greet, and to do some 1/4mile runs. The best thing....it's FREE!!!!

Yesterday I was at the Alameda Naval Air Base. Had a dope time....vids and pics were taken. (See my photo gallery...... http://www dot redlineforums dot com/gallery/showgallery.php?ppuser=1707&cat=500)

This place is perfect for a meet. The base is closed down and is now owned by Alameda County. I called the county before I went and they said...."You can do whatever you like there and just don't be there after 9pm. Just be safe about whatever you do" That's it thats all.

So.....within the next month or so....we should have a big meet there!!! I know the perfect spot. I swear it's about an 1/8th mile wide and about 1/3rd mile long.

What does everyone think??? LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!

 

when are you planning this, maybe some of us socal guys can cruise up there. I know i havent been there in yrs. Depending on the date and time, i may be interested

 

i was thinkin around middle October....like the 13th or the 20th. Saturdays usually are the safest days for everyone.

That would be sweet if some socal folks came too!!

Got up to about 110 before I had to start slowing down. So I know it's more than 1/4 mile!!

 

sounds good, keep us informed on an officail date time place. Im planning a socal meet in Oct so ill have to work around yours so i can do both. I would like to bring more socal guys with me so i dont have to go alone.

 

OK......october 13th is the date. lets make it for 12 noon sharp. i'll be bringing a grill w/me. since there isn't any stores near by.....bring a cooler with stuff to drink and grill for yourselves. just google map the directions or plug into some nav thing to get there. if you think you'll have troubles, PM me and i'll let you know

i posted this on redline forums and yourcobalt also. people are signing on. got about 10 all together so far. plus if you come with a crew from so cal....it'll just be that many more.

There is plenty of security all over there cause of the carrier Hornet a few blocks over. Whomever you spoke with on the phone that said do whatever you want obviously is a dumbazz who doesn't know chit. I wouldn't count on making any side by side racing runs for very long before security or the Sheriffs dept shows up or even any single flybys unless you wanna get busted and told to leave.

Was there for over an hour that day doing "flybys" at over 110mph!! No one cared and the ones that did...stopped to watch for a while.
