Brembo Rear Brakes
OK so here is the thing I have owned an 06ss/sc, 08ss/tc, and now a 2010ss/tc needless to say I love the cobalt. I have found ways to not only make them faster on stock bottom ends making 400+whp. I fabricated everything from my own intercooler to intake manifolds. My 2010 has 24,000miles and I had to replace the rotors and pads all the way around a week after I picked it up.
Here is my question if I fabricate and produce a way for the 08-10 Cobalt SS to have rear brembos off of another car how many for you guys/girls would be interested in buying a conversion kit for lets say $250?
Now I know what you thinking just buying a kit without the calipers seems stupid but the caliper I would design the kit for can be found for $250 a set and cheaper if you dont mind rebuilding them yourself.
So this is it what I need to know how many of you would be interested to see how it works and how many of you would be interested in obtaining it. Either way I am going to do it for myself. But I want to know if there was a bolt on kit that worked with your Oem rotors who wants to upgrade?
Post on this thread and let me know and if you are close to the Lake Elsinore area and want to see how it turns out let me know and Ill see about holding a meet at my shop where I can put the car up on a lift for you guys/girls to take a look at the conversion.

Ive been planning this for a while now just never got around to doing it.
I have a 07 lsj with brembos on the front. After my 2.4 lsj is finished im gona put 14" rotors on the front and 13" on the rear.
But im down for a bolt on for the oem rotor for now count me in.

AFAIK the ESC would probably flip out or w/e But I'm down to see what's up. I only live 50 miles from you so I'm down to see what you have in the making...
Plus what mods do you have to hit 400whp.

I believe they do.
I'm sure allot of people would be interested just from a reliability standpoint. The factory brakes were flawed from the start on the back.
The bigger you go up front the bigger you can you on the back.
I reccomend doing a 6 piston front upgrade as well

thats a funny question. wondering where I would find Brembo calipers that were NOT off another car? Brembo make calipers, an entire range of calipers, for all sorts of vehicle fitments.
My idea of spending time and money developing stuff is NOT to share the step by step process. At the end of the day I would like to at least sell a few parts. Most of the R&D I do is 100% not recoverable, the market cant afford it.
Put another way, it takes between 50,000 and 100,000 to build a new race car out of a production car. Another 5 times that amount to develop the race car to win.
