Serio. it was 215 ferias last year. 399$ now, those 184 couldve gone 2 some more useful/necessary ****. Even if I wuldve wasted it @ least I enjoyed it, not given it 2 a State that cant budget....

I don't think they raised my registration that I just paid for a month ago. But I paid like $99 and $119 IIRC for my sunfires.

Yeah, I heard somewhere ur exempt for smog the first 5 years with a new car in Californi-cation.
If it is, damn, thats y i dint modify my exhaust immediately cus I dint want 2 b forced 2 take it off or seek "assistance" in passing my inspection as I did with my Camaros. Never owned new cars till 3 years ago and havent had them longer than a year till now so...I dint understand how people modified their new cars and kept 'em registred with smog being so strict AND expensive in CA. I guess thats how, (5yr exemption).
Yeah, cool for u peep dwelling out of CA 2 pay so little. This state has a budget crisis. WE BROKE 2 put it plainly. As a way 2 aleviate it, the "Kindergarten Cop" is ******* UP evrything auto. DMV employees took a paycut and motorists took it in the monetary pooper. But evidently, luckily, u guys reside in a state that knows how to budget well, well enough not 2 BLEED motorists to compensate for funds that were mismanaged then opportunisticaly tax its citizens whom are partial to vehicles and own so many.
-ANd hey, it seems like 300 is the average for SS/SC owners in Cali. To be exact, mine was actualy 321 as some of you, but I lost the notice from the DMV, found it later, too late, and the late fee was 78 dollars. Still, i paid it within weeks of due date and they already tacked on 30%?, how convenient for them...

Is there really a 5 year period for smog on new cars? Mine's an 07, and I don't feel like taking the sc off and going back to stock to pass smog right now

So I just checked the dmv website and if your car is six or less model years old, then you don't have to do smog. That just made my day lol No smog testing till 2013!
