New Road Race Track in So Cal needs letters of support!
A new 3.6mi road course has been constructed in Lancaster, CA called the Fairmont Butte, http://www.fairmontbuttemotorsportspark.com/index.html
However, legal red tape and local efforts from enviromental ****'s and distant residents are trying to block the track from opening for a second time.
There is a public hearing at a library this Feb 6th in Lancaster, CA. Unfortunately, many of us are going to SP Engineering that day and our presence in person will be negligible.
The claims are excessive noise, air pollution, damage to local wildlife, and it will be open 24 hours. These claims are false or misleading and the track owners are asking the community to write a letter to show support.
Who wants to take advantage of a road course that surpasses Infineon, Buttonwillow, and Willow Springs in both speed and turns? I know I sure as hell would! I find Willow Springs too restrictive, short, and slower speed (except for Big Willow, which is fun).

To clarify, write a letter means sending a 1-2 sentence e-mail to the e-mail addresses listed in the .pdf. That's cake!

After I get my house I'm going to find a buisines partner and try to open a teak and drag strip up here thier is plenty of land and thier is an old airport for lease so I'm just waiting now
look at the autobahn country club in IL. Theres zero noise outside on the street of the track and its a very nice track. They had time attack there last fall. Im all for the environment but these new tracks are really well thought out and arent as bad as the nascar and dirt racing tracks...
