Hey guys I'm a upper division photography student in an automotive photography class. I was wondering if anyone else in the LA area would like a professional picture of their car. Here's one I took of my cobalt last week.

im impressed to see you took the time to clean the tires, and remove the tire tracks...

Car related or other?

Thanks. Taking pictures of cars is really technical, but kind of a dying art. Almost all new car pics nowadays are completely cgi.

yeah, but there are plenty of people that still enjoy shooting the real thing... There are still 1000's of publications using photos... most GGI shots are motor carriers making them look perfect

True. and you can do well with magazines, but the huge advertising budgets are starting to disappear.

I like the pic armorris! Very well done but I think I do agree that the left side is slightly dark. Where did you take that btw? I am south of LA a little. Riverside/Temecula area

Great picture.

I’ve always loved photography, but never really pursued anything. Just my goofy armature stuff with my kids and my car club. Wondering if you might want to help me with a calendar idea for my car club actually.

I’m toying with the idea of putting out a calendar for gmeternal.com. We have cars from 9 second Grand Nationals, 11 second GTPs to GTO’s, Balts, G5s and RL’s. Plus a few Trans Ams & Camaro’s.

Not sure if it would be a paying gig as we are just now getting our feet wet with sponsors and stuff like that, but you never know. Perhaps you can us the pics for a portfolio of yours or something? I dunno.

Thoughts?

Here’s a few recent ones I took. This was with very little prep on top of a parking garage after one of our Friday night meets, lol.

I'm definitely interested. Give me a few more details in a PM.

I took that picture in Santa Barbara up in the mountains.

That depends on how much you want to spend. A decent Digital SLR with a couple of starter lenses will cost you about 1000 dollars no matter what company you go with. What would you be using the pictures for? Internet and prints smaller than 8x10?
