we're in the final stages of planning. its one of those things that will never stop growing, i started out with a $12,000 limit but i think we're well past $15,000 hahah. we're pretty much just gonna do everything we can to make as much power as we can with out going turbo. cause that will be my second project

without ass loads of nitrous, there is no possibility of the M62 making 650whp. sorry guys, just isn't going to happen. now, if you manage it, let me know. it's gonna take 110 octane race fuel, and one hell of a built/high compression motor to do. there's a lot more involved, but it you're sending 15k, i assume you know what it's gonna take.
even with a TVS...
even with a TVS...

yeah don't worry, as posted above, not using the m62. i'll even be pushing the limits of the TVS. which is why we're gonna try and set everything up to run two seperate tunes. one street (lowest boost possible on 93) and then track (highest boost possible on 116)..116 is what my local track sells.
but on a side note. you don't want to run too high of compression pistons on a f/i car. but i'm pretty sure you already know that haha and were just using it in the example. (whittfield is running 8.9:1 or 9:1, i can't remember, on 900 ponies)
is that a cobalt? if it is, i'm gonna assume it's turbo. with a 2.7" on the TVS, the stock head just cannot support that kind of flow. now it would take some serious porting, but even then, i doubt you'd net 200+ hp from that. i'd like to see your plans, not that i know any more than the guys building it, just out of curiosity, and how they plan to make that much power. it just doesn't seem to be possible on a street drivable LSJ. (an SC'd one)
yes whitfield is turbo'd. he has his own racing team and what not.

i'll be running a 2.5 on the tvs
and the head i'll have on my engine WILL be able to take it.

curiosity, what is the intake manifold going to be like?
2.5 on the TVS, what kind of headwork is going to be done?
I DEMAND ANSWERS!
haha, yeah, but that would be more accurate on a stock head. to get the airflow he wants, boost would probably drop to the low 20's.
