take a skinny flat head and hit the bolt with a hammer to help pry it a little bit then just got at it with the bolt with the hammer. i heated mine up with a blow torch then just hit it a bunch of times.
its the bolt that holds the strut bar right? not the bolt on top of the strut hat like wat david broke right?

and david u stripped both bolts on the struts? that sucks hopefully u didnt break the driver side thats the most expensive strut the passenger is cheap pretty sure its like a 70-100 difference

I don't think it got stripped I heard a loud snap. But it was the drivers side. I thought I would try and see if I could get it loose cause the passenger side kept rotating on me

No I had the passenger strut out and the spring compressed but couldn't remove the bolt cause the whole mount rotated when I tried to remove it.

The drivers side was still attached to the car so I tried to see how hard it would be to loosen it but it snapped.

Yes I know I fail

yes the strut spins when you try to lossen that bolt... stick the mounting plate in a vice and go at the bolt w/ an impact.

well one of mine was on there like a **** and it took me about an hour to get it off... they arent all the same and it is much better advice than tellin him to hit it with a hammer.

now that i think of it, we hit the nut with a torch for a second and then it came off with the impact

actually if you loosen the top strut nut before you jack up the car,
that nut will come off much easier !
No need to hold anything from turning.

Just a thought, and it does work nice.
