Some Intake Trouble...
I own a 2007 Cobalt LT and I recently just put a K&N Short Ram Intake on it. It's not a huge mod but every time I start the car it idles rough with the rpm's jumping up and down for about 30 seconds, then settles. I suspect that it is running lean now that the intake has been added but would definately like some second opinions.
You're not running lean...
Check your MAF sensor and how it's placed inside the tube.
A intake upgrade will not make a car run leaner, especially at idle when the throttle plate is closed anyways and keeps the engine running through the IAC (Idle Air Controller).

very true...now i feel dumb, haha. I'll go head and check it when i get a minute but i'm pretty sure its clean and everything, i just swapped it from the stock to the new one, didnt leave it sittin around or anything.
check for a leak on the intake if it's loose around the throttle body it wil cause that issue. Clean and check all sensors reattach and make sure everything fits tight. Disconnect the nrgotober battery terminal for 30min. when your done drive for about 15-30 min and it should start to clear up as the ecu adjusts
alright check the MAF and clean it. just cuz u cant see oil on it doesnt mean it isnt there also idk about ur model but on the ss/sc when u do something like this u disconnect the neg. terminal on the battery for about 5 mins reconnect it and turn it on and let it idle for about 5. our ecu's re-adjust automatically for the more air flow
disconnect battery
anytime you do anything that requires unplugging of anything, especially electrical, unplug the battery. the computer does need to reboot and it happens almost instantaneously when the battery was disconnected first
