I need to check their web site to make sure nothing else is going on, but since I'm unexpectedly in the area I'll stop by and be racing tonight if they are running. Will be in the relatively stock looking blue Neon.

Ugh... There's an Evo in front of me in staging right now with a girl driving and you can tell that she hasn't drag raced much. The stench of burned out clutch an hour after the last pass is still strong enough to make me want to puke every time I walk by. Hopefully her clutch and my axles hold up. The new Kuhmos want to wheel hop on the 1-2 upshift.

 

I saw a focus take off in reverse, then she launched it (forward) and smoked the clutch.

yeah went today...saw a victory red cobalt SS/SC chrome rims....took a pic right before the race it was up against a 90's camaro(white)...looked and sounded 2 me as if its clutch sliped for a few sec...then i went down the right side of the stands to see a nice GTO...and then it passed right by me...guy went 2 pick up sum 1...then left cuz i wanted 2 c who it was at the race line but GONE

yeah it was parked in between like 2 white big chevy trucks i thnk...u passed write by me after ur pass i had a red jacket..i was gonna scream NICE COBALT! but i didnt haha...like the exhaust sounded nice.

Anyone gone to this on Sundays? Is it the same thing as the Thursday stuff but just earlier in the morning?

Also you don't need a helmet if your running low 9's right? I did a 9.07 1/8 on my iphone dyno app but the road was curved / inclined and I had a passenger. So curious as to what I would do on the track.

Also anyone that went before know how well they inspect the cars? I know it says no cars without mufflers in there exhaust but wondering how well its enforced.

 

i have seen cars pulled aside b4 for exhaust, but mostly they let everyone run.

 

Thier inspections are not too bad, but if you are barely idling through tech and sound like a V8 with an open dump you might have a problem. Or in other words, I wouldn't worry about it. I saw one of the red Cobalts but didn't get a chance to track anyone down, then saw one leaving early. I think the Evo I posted about earlier did toast something on our run. I was at the finish line and saw it barely down the track. They screwed up the lights or timing on that run, which was probably my best of the night, and I didn't get a slip. Overall too busy and too expensive as usual.
