Talking The upgrade!!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday was one of my few days off from work and I decided to pay some bills and get the oil changed at the dealership as I usually do every 3,00 miles.... As I pull up I see this beautiful SS/SC on the lot.. I have never seen one at Rally Chevy ( **** they barely have any SS models of any car!) So I test drove it and immediately fell in love!! So guess WTF I did..... Thats right, I traded my LT for the SS.. And I couldnt be happier!!!!!!!!!! Here are some pics of the old and the new...

Yeah but get stage 2, gm exhaust, airbox mod, and you will have twice the whp has your 2.2 and still get 32 mpg. What can be better than that?

Intake - $250
Airbox mod - AEM Dryflow - $50ish max

Airbox mod > Intake

Results - Both give you more whine, both give more hp, intake MAYBE will give a little more, wippie. Oh you get that nice shinny looking aluminum pipe that will get scratched to hell anyway. You decide what you want. I say dryflow 3.25" x 5", leave the bottom of the airbox open and cover with some mesh screen. Then put 200 bucks towards stage 2 or gm exhaust. That is what I would do.

what you "would do", or what you actually did? lol

congrats on the upgrade man. A guy on my town had a lightly modded red 2.2 for about a year and later traded for a yellow SS/SC.

Both. If I had to do it again I would do the airbox mod over buying a CAI and I did do that yes. Excellent results and it whines like crazy. Cheap mods are not always bad.

I would love to do the same... but I can't see parting with my SOM. so unless I found a 2.0 SOM I just couldn't do it.

How much did your insurance go up?

why didn't you just keep all your mods and put them on the SS/sc ... besides the CAI? shouldn't the exhaust, strut bar, and springs worked?

Kept the Strut bar, Didn't want that exhaust anymore (going with GMPP) and my cousin has a LS and I gave him the prokit springs... I'm gonna go sportline or tenzo R's within
the next few weeks...

That was a good upgrade. Love yellow. Probably cheaper than doing anythig serious to your 2.2L in the end.
