Those of you that have the K&N or AEM intakes, do you have the C.A.R.B. sticker that came with it?

If so, would you be willing to part with it? Not that any of you in the other 49 states need it haha

niether come with the carb sticker..to get one from k&n you have to take a pic of your car with the hood up then a close up shot..and a shot with the plate in it....i've never saw a sticker for aem sence it looks stock to anyone

its fine cause i painted mine black and just noted that it was fine

 

if you buy me an intake ill let u keep the sticker lol

 

mine's polished SS, and the welds are pretty obvious. Actually, i don't think it would pass for a K&N ever haha

What is a C.A.R.B Sticker?

California Air Resources Board ( C.A.R.B.) They are in charge of approving aftermarket parts for vehicles registered in California. If you dont have that sticker with the E.O. number (Executive Order) and you have an aftermarket item on your car, you can get fined if you get pulled over by a CHP or fail your smog check if you have to go do it.

so im going through advance diagnostic class at UTI and this class lets you use the SMOG machine...well the instructor is a SMOG tech obviously and i took my car in for some other stuff not the SMOG machine...and its funny how he stopped real quick and looked at my car and right away told me that i failed my SMOG check.....even if whats coming out the exhaust is clean...all the parts i have are not CARB approved so visually it fails

And eric, i forgot about my 3.5" throttle body. So i'm stuck until a stock loaner comes.

And i'd rather have the sticker so if i get pulled over, no ticket.

 

oh and if anyone one wants a pre smog check done....ill will be doing some all this month...so cruise by UTI or give me a call and we shall see if your car will pass the actual smog

yea it might throw a code... but u can try it

i used to get codes but then i swapped to a new one and it still threw a code then the dealer found out it was my head not the tb
