intercoolers for PS3\XBox 360 both have had serious problems, I've heard. like voiding any warranties and actually CAUSING both units to...get this...overheat.

That was from when they first started making them some fans were installeld backwards.

The intercoller worked really good for me. I havent used it in a long time before I ship it I will update the PS3 so you dont have to.

It also comes with a best buy warranty till 2010

the problem they found wasn't with the fans, it was with the power delivery.

im not saying yours is problematic, but the real problem they were having was that they were drawing too hard on the unit for power, causing the PS inside the unit to overheat badly...pretty much "meltdown" time if used for any extended period.

they may have fixed it, though, but i haven't heard that myself.

I never had mine on for more then 12 hours, and I left the fans one while it was off

Yeah, the intercoolers where drawing to much off the power supply and killing the power supply in the PS3.
