Can't really blame it on this guy though, he doesn't really have an option on the prices. He can't be selling them at less than what MSR are selling them to him for, that's been a strategy that has been proven to fail many times...
That being said, does suck that the 045s are not getting such a good deal, I would have called and ordered a set already if the hyper gray price was closer to the black/white wheel prices.

The center caps are typically included... I haven't seen an MSR wheel yet that didn't have them.
The center caps ARE plastic usually.
I'm not sure why you are all complaining so much about the 045s. I didn't raise the price because it looked to be a hot wheel... It seems like you you guys think that's the case.
If you check most of the 18" wheel sale prices in gray, silver, and black you will see the $429-457 / set price that the 045s have is VERY SIMILAR to many of the other wheel styles. The 045 price is not really higher or lower than other 18" wheels. It's right in the middle.
I know in the post I made last week, I had "$380" as the potential price for 18s. I did however state "To give you an idea on the pricing... here's some potential #s, depending on style". The style dictates the price... Some of the 18" rims are lower than $380 / set, and obviously some are higher.
I did not start the sale until I had the updated price sheet from American Eagle... I knew there would be wheels higher and lower than the estimates I put out there.
There are a few styles of 18" wheels in the $380 range, and there is one style (# 105) at $316 / set! That's only $79 / wheel for 18"!
American Eagle runs their "specials" to dealers about every 2-3 weeks... They add new styles to the sale list. Who knows... maybe the 045 style will go on a "special" with AEW corp; if it does, the price could go down. I wouldn't hold my breath though... as it seems American Eagle knows the 045 is a hot seller.
PS - Everyone who keeps saying a certain wheel is " not a deal".... you do your checking around. Online, locally, heck even eBay, and I can almost 100% guarantee there won't be a price lower, or even close to these for a set of MSRs.
Most would be $100-200-300 more per set.

Shipping also depends how close or far away you are from MN, where the wheels will ship from. If you're within a 2-3 state reach from me here, the shipping rates will be on the lower end of what I posted. I used those estimates to cover myself. I will get exact rates for each individual order.
It's typically around a $1-1.15 / lb. when it's multiple boxes like this.

I'm not saying that they're still not a good deal. It's just not as good of a deal as I was hoping for for the 45's. And yes, I agree that no matter what its a pretty good price considering a lot of other wheel sets do go for $700+ minimum. But then again those are also forged and tend to be a little bit lighter, so it all sort of evens out in a way.
But damn do I wish the 45's were under $400. That'd make me quite happy. But I don't have $600+/- with shipping so I guess I'll have to let this deal pass, unfortunately.

Tell you guys what... If we reach 10 sets sold OF ANY STYLE over the course of the sale, I will refund each person that purchased that style $25 back. I know that's not much... but there's also not much margin with these.
So if 10 people buy the 045 which seem to be the most desired, the price will potentially be $25 less than what was originally posted.

^^^ I JUST had a set of 045 come through last Friday in hyper grey (gunmetal?). They were 5x110.
They had to ship them to me from Chino, CA... maybe they were "hot off the press"???

cyrusthevirus - none have been tested as far as I know... Although one guy did buy the 045s in 18", and they fit fine on his he said.
