Thanks for all the help!
Like Z speed said....your clutch is slipping. Soon it will be happening on the lower gears too. Just take it easy for now.

Basically the engine will have to work less hard to put down the HP that its making. Another example I can give you with this phenomenon is wearing big ass shoes liek the timberlands and running up and down the staris. THan you put on some nice light nike's or whatever and you can move around much faster....but you are not making any more power. ha ha ..... but seriously.

Less rotational mass = happy reving engine.

And form my experience its all around.....not just with zero elevation changes or topend runs.

the flywheel is about 10-11 lbs in weight.....the stocker is about 20 lbs. Big difference!!!

I don't think you can lose torque or hp, but the power comes faster is all

K just did some research on that, you dont lose or gain hp or torqe, you just free up some power.

Just to update...I took my balt in to have the clutch looked at, and what do you know??--The darn thing wouldn't act up!!!! It was even kept over night. Maybe I was just driving it too hard or something. So needless to say, it wasn't diagnosed, but if it does start acting up, I'm supposed to bring it in just so a tech can drive it to see what the issue is.

I'm begining to think it's just the way I drive it. Actually, cause it wasn't hot that day, because today was the first hot day we've had this year (surprise, surprise!! ) But, I was telling my dad today that I think I just get that feeling on my clutch because I drive it too hard sometimes.

Yeah it does make a difference. However sometimes I have witnessed that too light is not good. We get knock from our Subaru guys when the flywheel is too light....than we need to balance it out. I don;t think you will have that problem with the cobalt's 2.0L but I would do some research.

When do you guys expect to get more in stock (Hyper Singles)? I'm Interested in this clutch/flywheel combo. Thanks.

I'd like to take advantage of this sales price.

I call and harass Exedy and my distributors every couple of days on this.... they just tell me that they will let me know as soon as possible. SO hopefully with my calling and harassing they will make me some...

We had 15 of the Clutches in all, but out of the 15 we had only 2 of the hyper singles. They are long gone. We are harassing both our suppliers and Exedy themselves to get more of these. And the hyper single is the only ss/sc clutch by exedy for now.

Will let you guys know as soon as I do.

Thanks.
