what the point of having a sts if your gonna have a 7" pole as a shifter? i like the idea for cruising, but for "competition" i think quick shifts with a small weighted knob is the way to go. May pick one up tho, they look nice. Glad you finally released them, price is twm standard.

Lol, short throw shifter is not to reduce the height of the shifter it's to reduce the destance between shifts. The longer shifter requires less pressure to shift. So yes it makes it much easier than a shorter knob. Not everyone likes have a really long shifter on DD drivers though. Hence competition.

i know the sts doesnt shorten the height, but the pole is increasing the moment arm in which the pivot has to move. if you have a standard knob thats going from 2nd to 3rd the top of the knob moves significantly less distance then the top of the pole, at least in my head i see it that way. You are correct the pressure to move will be less, but with a weigthed knob, one finger shifts are possible. i dont understand your last sentence lol

You're right on the money! Actually, the Competition Series knob is also a fantastic DD knob because of its proximity to the steering wheel. It eliminates the need of "reaching" for the gear knob, accessibility is GREATLY increased and reduces shift times when you're bombing around at your local circuit

The only way this will work with a reverse lock is to take it off correct

We do actually offer this with a larger bore for reverse lock applications. It'll work perfectly
