gotta agree with you here I only do 3" but thats because i have a TVS so its worth it but the downside is you got a loud ass pipe even when its catted with a res and its so god damn big you cant lower your car and have problems with speedbumps and really steep inclines.

I definitely hear ya guys....I will see what I can dig up.

AP did 2.5 because they allow the best of both worlds, for those who have unmodified balts and for those who are more than mildly modified.

I just talked to Matt @ Agency Power and he definitely had some great things to say, so if anyone wants to hear it form the source call up the guys who specialize in making them.

Agency Power can be reached @ 1.480.921.7422

And I will put up more info very soon....

am I the only guy in the form that would kill for a full 2.5 turbo back exht.. I think 3'' is over kill inless your running a bigger turbo and over 400hp.. sure 3'' will have a higher peak power gain but 2.5'' will maintain low end trq and weigh less wich is very important to auto xer like me. I really got my eye on this system and the fact they made it 2.5 makes me think they put real development into it ..

indeed sir you are more than correct. They did spend some time developing this and basically 3inch would be overkill....unless you are pushing a lot more exhaust out.

I am glad some have realized this and have purchased these.

Thanks for the support guys!!!

I am interested in a Agency Power exhaust, esp since they are local. The videos do not work, they are dead links... Can someone re-post them or send me a link to a AP exhaust on a cobalt? I am trying to decide between this and the Hahn... I don't think I need 3", but I have read different things and I am getting mixed information. I have heard the AP on an EVO via You Tube and it is deff deeper than the hahn.

Here's what I have heard:
  • I have read that the AP is louder than the Hahn.
  • I have also read that the Hahn is louder, since it's 3".
  • On the Cobalt, the AP is deeper than the Hahn.
  • I have heard the Hahn is as quiet as the stock exhaust and AP is quieter than stock.
  • AP direct told me I don't need 3" since Im not tuned for over 300hp and I will actually
loose bottom end for going that big, but that could have been a sales pitch.

I want something louder than stock, esp at WOT, but doesn't drone on the highway. I like the idea of the silencer, but I am afraid of back-pressure.

Hahn is pretty reputible, and they do a lot of Cobalt stuff. AP primarily does Evo and STI stuff, so I am not sure about the cobalt products they make...

My mods are in my sig, and I might tune once my warranty is up, depending on how many miles I have on the car.

Hopefully someone can clarify some stuff for me before I make my purchase. Thanks in advance.

Hey,

not sure what happened to the videos. They were hosted on AP's site. What AP is telling you is correct. You don't need that big of exhaust unless you are flowing that much. Exhaust gasses pulsate in a certain way that you will benefit in the low end more with a smaller exhaust.

AP does a very good job with their exhaust...and in many cases they are deeper than the competitors. Watching a bunch of youtube videos wont justify that...and eventually they will all sound the same

if you are doing a cat back system only they wont be that much louder...but they will be deeper.

call me when you are ready and we can go over more details. I am not sure when exactly you will be ready...in fact someone might have a better exhaust out by than.
