wait, so you're saying that htis exhaust gives you about 20 whp throughout the entire rpm range?

HickOverLOrd 10-08-2007 04:59 PM

They have good quality stuff guys, jump on them! :twothumbs

D4u2s0t 10-08-2007 05:02 PM

Viper33884 10-08-2007 05:28 PM

Ends so soon though, I'm getting some extra money in November, guess I'll have to wait and pay retail.

Those dyno chart provided us from Stage 2 set-up 2006 Cobalt SS TPR Magazine dyno comparation exhaust system result from last 3month.

We had gain about:
MAX. Base Torque / WHP with Stage 2 : 182.28tq's / 209.90WHP MAX.
With ARK Exhaust system: 209.90tq's / 228.58WHP MAX.

so it is about : 27.62 tq / 18.68WHP gain result from ARK Exhaust system.

those are some pretty nice numbers

ItalianJoe1 10-08-2007 06:28 PM

I like how the correction factors and humidity have been changed for the after runs though.

thedub784 10-08-2007 06:29 PM

no love for the 2.2???
:(

CSS87915 10-08-2007 06:32 PM

the exhaust looks nice, but the dyno is confusing me is it saying a stage 2 cobalt got 209 whp and 182 tq or is that stock?

sorry im just a bit confused but the exhaust deffinetly looks nicer then the other ones ive seen.

D4u2s0t 10-08-2007 06:35 PM

do you have any other dynos? seems crazy high, 3 times more tq than any other system on the market. and it's not just peak, it's like that throughout the entire power band. seems a little too good to be true. if it is true, that's one hell of a deal though. also seems weird that a stage 2 cobalt put down 209 whp

Look at the dyno conditions. The after runs, it was 10-15 degrees cooler, 20% less humidity, Baro went up a little, and the SAE correction was changed. Thats why there was a solid gain throughout the powerband, the car would have made more power on the stock exhaust.

yep. also, the dynos are like 7 months apart

something here just seems a little sketchy.

well... that is answer I got from TPR Magazine. They told me that they did run for base line for the magazine issue for GM advertising. and they did collect few other exhaust system to comparation dyno product. This is what I hear from TPR. As you can see those dyno runs from Fujita Intake company. I wish they did not published false statement.

don't you have car that you can get some real #'s with? or i'm sure someone from the site will help you out to get some more accurate #'s if you don't have a car to test on.

I see... Wemay do that once our header project is done. We missed dyno test because TPR told us that they will do dyno test number. But we do have our own dyno result application vehicles. It is general idea about ARK exhuast system you can trust gains, check our gallery link.

Viper33884 10-09-2007 03:42 PM

Hey ARK will you possibly be having another GB on the exhaust sometime around December? And do you have a ball park estimate on the headers? And shorty or long tubes? LOL to many questions.

The ARK Header project takes about 6month. Below following headers took 8month to complish with perfection fitting and performance.

Wow that is an amazing exhaust system!!!! I will definitely get one of these when my Corsa Touring system takes a shit. Which will be soon...since I've had my lowering springs put in, the vibration is tearing the Corsa system apart and I have to keep getting it rewelded and I'm tired of doing that. Love the sound of the Corsa, but it's not very tough. Not to mention, TONS of exhaust leaks since I had it installed.

Red2.4SS/SC 10-11-2007 01:06 AM

i call bs on the dyno numbers

for some reason i think they dynoed a bone stock SS/SC and then put stage 2 and exhaust and re dynoed

shadowfaxss 10-11-2007 07:33 AM

I was planning on ordering the ARK N2 exhaust when I complete my other mods. I visited ARK's site several times. They appear to be of good quality and they have a pretty good backround. I will purchase one of your exhausts sometime in the future and the headers would be a powerful addition.
I'D LOVE TO BUY ONE BUT I HAVE OTHER MODS TO COMPLETE FIRST.....

Thanks for building one for us

Yeah.. If you use clamps, it will have leaks on pipe. But we did with the flange connection.

The shipping to Canada is $ 89.00 S/H Fedex International Ground. Buty and Tax not included. Also we're currently working on headers that fit our catback system. Most header brandwill fit our exhuast system.

All bolt on... :twothumbs

What is that your adding?

Whats the difference between the DT-S and N2? Is the DT-S quieter and which one flows more?

Also do you have to cut the stock exhaust off? I read its easier that way, but if you dont wanna cut its a pain in the ass?
