Back for it's Final Appearance. Carbon Creations BIGGEST Group BUY! (Hoods & Trunks)
got my CC hood installed today. has a great reflection/gleam to it. and is definitely a good 7-10lbs lighter than the oem. was packaged very nice with wood blocks bolted to where it bolts on the hinges. very easy to install takes 2 people, obviously, unless you really want to be a super hero and do it urself.
the only thing i can complain about is
1) doesnt line up perfect on the passenger side, it does on the drivers side tho. right after install it was a good .75" above the quarter panel of the car. i figured id see if i cud adjust it at all by messin with the bolts, that helped slightly, but the hood was still probly .5" above the fender line. after adjustin the rubber screw bumper it sits pretty flush on the front near the headlight and on the bak near the hinge but in the center still slightly bows above the fender line, no big deal you really cant tell unless you feel for it or really look. i kno carbon pieces almost never line up perfect. it wud be nice if it wud have jus lined up perfect from the start lol, its still a great piece and i wud recommend it to anyone, its ****** sick
2)right in the center of the hood near the windshield if you press it pops in almost, kinda feels sketchy but im sure its fine ill jus never put pressure right there, i noticed it when i was washin the car and ran the rag over that spot, i doubt it wud ever pop in tho.
these complaints are minimal and like i sed earlier id recommend this hood to anyone its ****** nice, i jus thought id give my opinion and thoughts on the product that were all about to buy lol. so pretty much in summary its a very nice addition to the cobalt, has a nice look, its lighter, looks ridiculously nice with my rpf1's
, and its carbon fiber cant hurt the car if its carbon fiber lol.
heres some pics of it, the lower ones are of where it doesnt line up well with the fender, i didnt get a pic of how it was at its worst

look at that ****** reflection of the license plates... ridiculous

this is the side where it doesnt line up well

this is the drivers side, it lined up perfect on this side

you know you can adjust those rubber stoppers on each side by the front grille to adjust how the hood sits. flush and what not. you can adjust them to raise the hood or to lower the hood so its flush with the fenders. theres one on each side. they turn like screws. i had to adjust mine a bit with my stock oem hood when i 1st bought the car.

so i jus went and messed with those rubber screw bumps, whatever they are, and its a little better it sits nice and flush right in the front and also in the back where it bolts onto the hinges but in the center it kinda bows up, very very minimally but enough to not line up perfect. i really dont mind but if it was a dedicated show car then id def mind lol

This.
Bro you gotta be a bit patient. I can understand your anxious, as is everyone else on the list, but I collect and close GB's when I see interest has died down. If I close it to early, I guarantee I will get PM's asking me if its still open, etc etc. I rather just deal with this once, put the paperwork away for a while and come back to it when the items are in.
Don't even worry about it, I would prefer 50% over 100%, I know I'm pretty weird haha.
As far as I know all the Tjin trunks are accounted for, Sox Fan wanted to sell his. But, it'd have to get shipped to him first then he'd have to ship it to you.
I am glad you resolved the problem. I wasn't happy with the way that hood sat on your car. Please, please remember if you ever experience any issues or problems with our products feel free to get in contact with me. I always take care of all my customers.
Gotcha!
Gotcha!
