Back for it's Final Appearance. Carbon Creations BIGGEST Group BUY! (Hoods & Trunks)
Picked up my hood and trunk today. Khurram did a little magic trick and got the hood and trunk in my Cobalt. Thanks. Some advice, if you are picking up a hood and trunk with your Cobalt go by yourself. The hood slides all the way to the back of your trunk (in the car) and the trunk (c/f piece) sits in your passenger seat. Besides, you will need to stop by Home Depot and pick up four 1/4" x 1 1/4" fender washers. The bolts and washers supplied fit the c/f hood but are WAY to small for the holes in the hinges. They slip right through. If you installed in the parking lot the hood would fly right off the car as soon as you got on the freeway. The trunk needs sealant for the third brake light and some holes drilled for the reverse lights. It is possible to install both pieces by yourself but having a buddy is advised. I'll take pictures of the hood installed in the morning when the sun is up. That's about all the advice I'v got. Good Luck.
so do the bolts fit or do u need to buy new bolts as well as washers? i am getting ready to come pickup and just wanna make sure i can with neccessary hardware to install in parking lot
The bolts supplied (the ones holding the wood) fit. The factory bolts are too big for the c/f hood. Just stop by Home Depot and get the 1/4" x 1 1/4" fender washers, $0.89
