BC Coilover GB

The long and anticipated group buy is finally here. Prices to post shortly but I need to get some kind of head count to see who is deffinately interested in buying. I need people you are ready to buy first to sign the top list and people that will be buying within the next couple of weeks to sign the bottom. This will all help to determine pricing from both myself and BC. Please quote and edit your name on the following post. Also write next to it the type of BC coilover you want and the year/make/model of your vehicle.

- Adjustable rear camber plates available
- Separate full length height adjustable
- One year warranty
- Rebuildable

Technical
________________________________________
-Coilovers use 46mm pistons and 53mm shock housings, the enlarged shock cartridges with specially designed pistons and rods provide a wide range of damping force.

- Valves are constructed of special spring steel, which outperforms stainless steels and produces longer valve life. Valve stacks use a patented deflective system to provide more precise control.

- Patented concave lower locking ring, to prevent unseating.

- Springs are made of SAE9254 high strength, durable steel. Compression tested at over 500,000 tires with less than 5% deformation.

- T6061 Aluminum utilized in spring locks and seats for high strength and lightweight.

- Iron lower brackets on MacPherson struts to ensure rigidity.

- Piston rods are constructed of highly polished steel to lengthen oil seal life and prevent leaking.

- High pressure inner rod guide seals ensure a perfect fit for consistent fade resistant damping and long shock life.

- 2 step coating process utilizing nickel and chromium plating to prevent corrosion.

- Newly developed lubricant oil in shock cartridges minimizes aeration and cavitation.

- An additional bearing beneath each pillowball mount provides the smoothest action and prolongs the lifetime of the pillowball itself.

RAM and ER Series available upon request

I'll bite first in the Buying soon list. I was looking to get some Pedders coils come spring time, but IF the price is good, I might get the BC coilovers instead.

OK so here are the details on the group buy for the BC-Racing Coilovers BR and RM series.

BR Series Street and Track CoiloverPillow ball upper mount
-Camber adjustable top mounts
-Aluminum top plates
-30 way adjustable damping
-Adjustable spring platform
-Height adjustment via bottom mount to retain full damper travel
-Bearing mounted upper front spring platform
-Dust boot to protect damper seals
* some features are dependent on model
-BR Series: Monotube Damper for street and track use
-The BR series coilovers use a large 46mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximize oil capacity. As the damper unit operates the oil contained within heats up. The viscosity of oil changes as its temperature varies which can lead to changes in the damping characteristic of the unit.
-BC Racing only uses special designed high quality oil with their coilovers that go the extra mile to maximize performance. This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of oil contained which in turn reduces the peak temperature and so significantly improves damper performance.

The RM Series Inverted Coilover
-Inverted monotube damper bodies
-Pillow ball upper mount
-Camber adjustable top mounts
-Aluminum top plates
-30 way adjustable damping
-Adjustable spring platform
-Height adjustment via bottom mount to retain full damper travel
-Bearing mounted upper front spring platform
-Dust boot to protect damper seals
* some features are dependent on model

RM Series: Inverted Damper for pro track use only
The BC Racing RM series feature high quality damping adjustable monotube inverted dampers at the front or front and rear, depending on vehicle. The RM coilovers offer the majority of the features of the BR series but with the additional benefit of the inverted damper unit. Inverting the damper unit brings with it a number of advantages.
Unsprung weight is reduced by moving the oil and gas reservoir way from the hub and attaching it to the shell. Unsprung weight is vital to a cars performance as a lighter wheel and hub assembly which readily moves in response to road bumps will have more grip when tracking over an imperfect road.

$10 Additional Insurance Reccomended

Spring Rates: 62-200-6 & 2-160-6-S

Both use front camber plates with pillowball top mounts. Rear camber plates are also available for an additional cost of $135

BTW i am carrying this group buy on a maxima forum til January 31st so I am debating whether or not to end it here also. Depends on what people want and the number of buyers at the time.

Our car has a solid rear beam, there are not going to be any camber plates for the rear lol. The only way to get camber is shims in the hub assembly.

I Have these coilovers. When you have the ride on hard its awesome. I drive around on some back roads and I feol like im in a race car. But when its on soft The ride is quite bearable. of course not pleasant. but if your buying coilovers you know what your getting into. The ride height adjust ability is pretty good. I havent tried going any lower in the back since I got them installed. But its already pretty low. When I got these installed I expected to pay for about 100 of alignment at a shop, but after the instillation they said that everything was basically perfect. Only cost me 40 in alignment. I would say this is a good product. especially for the price.

I know a guy who wants these really bad, but he won't be able to get them til after he gets his tax return. You might keep that in mind as to when you end it.
