John, have you installed any Quaife 6 speed conversion kits for the F35 yet by chance? How does the 3rd gear hold up on those?
There was only one (that I know of) 4.45 that broke and it wasn't returned to Powell for him to determine the issue, its the 3.82 that everyone and their brother is breaking with the ZFR

is that an aisin aw 55 trans or what? and I got brembo spacing for you. Do you have knuckle spacing on your car and more importantly rotor face to knuckle mounting ears? I am thinking I had better get Kyle in Woodstock get me a used assembly lol

just the facts ws. INFE broke his after beating on it for two years with higher whp than you will ever see.

I know of no others that have broken. Not saying it cant happen I have had race drivers trash entire cars as well as clutches and transmission, where other (better) race drivers can run 24 hour races on the stuff no problem.
Heck I had a guy smoke a tripe plate carbon Exedy on a Corvette just parking it in the damn paddock.

Its common sense and decent driving needed. Area47 ran that stellar TVS car of his on a STOCK LSJ weaksos clutch for 90 k miles. No one EVER accused Area47 of lollygagging in his car.

Lol I ran my stock LSJ clutch on my nitrous car for years with no problems, and yet I replaced multiple clutches/transmissions on cars locally that were making less power than me. It's all in the driver. I raced my car a LOT and was never easy on it. But there's a difference between driving hard and abusing the hardware.

the 6 speed quaife conversion has narrower gears, so I am guessing maybe not. But if the material is different, you never know. what to do when we can not get 4.45 gears? make them. working in it. just costs more.

He's trying to have the gears manufactured, don't count on it happening right away or being cheap. Custom cutters to make the proper helical cut will not be cheap, plus the R&D time to reverse engineer it. Anything is possible, but it costs a lot when you're only doing a couple of them at a time.

Not hating, just not being a fanboi and trying to see what option is best for a trans swap for me, because I know mine will break one of these days at the track.

Just wanted to ask about the 6spd swap as it was yet another option that I didn't think anyone has tried much.

I would love if someone made a stout 4t45-e to direct swap in, but I can only dream

I've got a SS/TC and already broke one trans. So my question is since the 3.82 is no good for the TC and you can't get a 4.45 anymore how much HP is a built 4.05 good for? Considering i have a LSD core already out sitting in my garage

the car at 140k is still on the stock clutch. the trans bolts have never been loose on it.

Area 47 are you running an LSJ? how much power do you have? I'm LNF bolted and replaced my clutch after 20k and trans at 40k. I did hear the 4.05 trans is stronger

Yup. It eventually did break and I think he is still driving now, at a million miles, with the take out 4.05 LSJ from my Redline when I went 4.45 BITD. iirc.

I think the 4.45 F35 can take 600whp/550wtq if I'm not mistaken. If you're making that much power, congrats not many are! I'm certainly not!
