So I have been getting ready to file my payment for these, and I looked at my strut mounts yesterday, and there are black plastic type things sitting in the strut covers where these covers would go (hard to describe them, wasn't able to take a picture). I am not sure if this is in all the cars, or if there is an easy way to remove them, can you shed some light on this before I make my purchase, so I don't wind up buying something i can't put in my car?

Thanks.

What you see must be the black steel plates on the strut top, let me know if what you see is the black piece on the left of this picture:

If this is waht you see, these are the metal plates from the strut towers and the billet strut cover do attache to them so you need them to be there. If you have not modified the suspension on your Cobalt, it must have these black plates, ALL Cobalts share the exact same strut plates so this is why the strut tower covers fits on ALL Coblat models.

Let me know if there is anythin...

Excellent. Thank You. I wasn't sure, as I hadn't really seen many pictures of the strut tower without the caps, I thought they just sat in the spot where these metal plate/caps are.

I would like to get the polished with "SS". The pictures that I see has the "SS" in white. Is it possible to do the "SS" in black instead?

It looks like it's white but this is the engraved surface in the bare aluminum, so thos is the natural billet cover. We cannot have the engraving done in other colors than the natural billet aluminum. It does look really good that way

Let me know if you want to get them with the Polished SS and I'll add your name in the group buy list.

Thanks!

lol yeah but it they should know better than to sign up though.. it makes some companies not want to do group buys anymore after it happens a time or two and thats what makes it bad for the rest of us..
