PlasmaGlow 2.1 Million Color LED Undercar Kit
Hey Jason,
I just got my kit today.
I opened it up and was making sure I got everything it says I should have. I found the Dash LCD screen, but no remote. So I have a few of questions
: What does the LCD screen do? Second: The toggle switch and lots of wires are for what? Third: How do I control the speed and pattern with no remote? This is obviously my first endeavor
with this sort of thing, so could you help me out? The installation appears easy enough, with the exception of the extra wires/toggle switch not mentioned anywhere, and the lack of the remote to control them. Thanks in advance!!

Chad/Flint - You ordered the underbody kit and that's it. Everything in the box is what comes with that kit. The LCD screen is the control system I believe. That should allow you to change the different functions of the kit.
There is a wireless remote that's available, but that's additional and separate from the kit. The wireless remote is not needed, but does give you some extra (distance) control.

So that LCD panel is a touch screen? If so, what is with the toggle switch and all the wires attached? Sorry, the instructions just said there was supposed to be a wired remote in there, but mine is missing. Anyone else?
Update: I noticed on the PlasmGlow website it says that the LCD is the display AND touch screen controller. When someone gets it hooked up, will ya let us know how it works? Also, I think the toggle is for interior lights attached maybe?

Mine is installed. The lcd is a touch screen. The extra switch is just so you can have a kill switch on it, that way if you bump the lcd your lights don't go flashing like crazy without you being aware that they are on (at least that is my guess). My lcd screen seems over sensitive, which leads to my question:
Does the wireless remote replace the touch screen entirely? I want to get rid of it so I don't get pulled over because my lights started flashing blue/red etc. Even with it isolated from bumping anything the buttons seem to push themselves. I would rather not turn it in for any type of warranty, the wireless would be much nicer.
Other than that, the colors they put off are great! I really like the slow color change mode.

the toggle switch can be mounted anywhere the best place for it in someplace where u can easially flip it just in case u get pulled ofer and u can be like oops!! sorry officer lol, the trim panel is a good place to put it if u definetely know what ur doing but id only recommend that for a professional to cut or u can put it someplace in your center console inbetween the seats

To answer the question above... I can't explain where exactly the toggle switch should be wired, but I'm almost positive that is explained on the installation sheet. Questions still, post em up...

ok so i got my kit installed ok and everything is cool, but i dont like the lcd display, now supposedly this lcd is supposed to be all grand and tell u exactly what its doing and what color it is, umm mine dosent do tht so am i missing something here, i have to open my door and look down to see the color and when its in color fading mode it dosent specify that its doin that, so at night what do u have to hold a light up to it to know what its doing? the last kit i had had colored lights to show u what color ur kit was on and it showed you what the lights were doing all on the controll box it wasnt lcd but i like that controll box a lot better than the plasma glow, but mabe im wrong am i missing a part or is the lcd supposed to light up or something ??? whats up!!
Just got mine today! Thanks jasonaudio!
:
Took a few pics of it in the box and all, thought about taking a movie with it being tested in the car. It cycles through red, blue, green, yellow, teal, purple/pink, and white. There are a ton of different modes that it has as well. Let me know if someone wants a movie or something. I'll see what I can do.
